Good food served here at a very reasonable price, staff very friendly and attentive, all the fish dishes are highly recommended and the beef and Guinness pie is to die for, I look forward to visiting this hotel again and enjoying the food.

Didn't get the chance to eat here as the staff where so rude. Told to come in at 0800 for breakfast, walked in at 0750 and was told by a ratty old woman that we shouldn't have come in as they were closed (front door was left open all night apparently with no night porter). Definitely one to miss. Check...

Very run down, shower cycled from too hot back to cold every 30seconds, every floor board creaked in my room, and the one next to me . Not even a working coffee machine in the whole hotel. The only positive thing was the friendly woman serving breakfast. And that's it!. I paid 67quid to stay there, it was at least...

Warm welcome we received from Ken and Shiela after a long drive north was only matched by the warm room we stepped into from a cold blustery night. The building is steeped in history that that's from an 18th century smokehouse, into the summer residence of the Duke of Sutherland and then into a hotel. It is said to be...

I can't recommend this place, can't even bring myself to call it a hotel! Not particularly friendly welcome, slightly stale smell throughout. Think the carpets need cleaning. Tired rooms, no shampoo provided, no hair dryer either. Small towels. Adequate breakfast, served by a charming and smiley Italian girl! The only good thing about this poor place. Lochinver is far from...

We slept here since there were no vacancies in the b&b's nearby. The place is clean but patchy. Wifi only in the lobby and the stairs and hallways smell of fried fish in the evening (from the dinner served there I guess). Rooms come with a shower or a bathtub si make sure to get the one you prefer. Breakfast...

Just back from a one night stay here. We got the last room (no.30) which is a family room on the top floor. The bed and room was cozy and comfortable but I agree that the whole place would probably benefit from a freshen up as it is quite dated. That said it's an old building with plenty of 'character!'...

I am not one for writing bad reviews however I just want to spare anyone the pain of staying here, avoid at all costs!! My partner and I booked this hotel last minute when we were doing the NC500 mainly because we read it was a stunning, dog friendly hotel and in a lovely location. Upon booking the hotel we...

Visited many many times over the years. Its a Pub that has a vast amount of Malt Whisky on display. You never know who is going to be in, from locals to fishermen and tourists. Good Beer. What more do you want when you want a few pints with no pretence. They also have free WiFi which is a nice...
