We came on holiday with our daughter last week, we didn't stay in the lodge but in the cottage just past it. It was wonderful, warm cosy and a pleasure to stay in. It had everything we needed and Christine and John are lovely warm people the sauna was a nice touch too. Thank you so much again and hopefully...

Christine made us feel very welcome at Grisedale Lodge. We had 2 very comfortable nights after day long walks around lake Ullswater. The scenery around there is fantastic. Grisedale Lodge is a short 10 mins walk to local pubs/restaurant. Christine's breakfast was awesome, and we opted one day for a packed lunch which was just the ticket on our second...

We recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at Grisedale Lodge which is ideally located on the edge of Glenridding and Patterdale villages. It's possible to do some fabulous walks in all directions from the door and Christine is very knowledgeable about the area. The B & B is located down a driveway so it's very quiet and the views from...

We stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding higher up the road at the Inn on the Lake. Grisedale Lodge is around a 15min walk away from there and keep in mind that there are no street lamps along the road so walking back late can be a bit of a struggle without a torch. We stayed in...

We stayed here last year on our Coast to Coast journey and returned for a 3 day stay to walk a number of Wainwright peaks. The hospitality was excellent - Christine and John love the outdoors and know how to look after kindred spirits - both in terms of breakfast and packed lunch choices and also in terms of drying...

Hello Madalyn and Geoff. It was lovely to see you again after you stayed with us last year during your Coast to Coast walk. You certainly explored a lot of the local peaks during your recent stay and discovered some new areas - which are also favourites of ours. Hope to see you again. Christine and John

Two perfect nights when we were somewhat tired after a mega adventure of 25 of the highest peaks in Cumbria in two days. Late in on Saturday, we were offered tea, coffee and cake at half eight at night. The bed is the size of a table tennis table - we slept like logs both nights. Having been totally looked...

The B&B is a few minutes walk from Glenridding, our double room with en suite had beautiful views. However, the en suite was tiny and appeared not to be very clean. There were traces of mould on most of the tiles surfaces, and flaking paint on the ceiling; not to mention the cobwebs. It really needed a good dose of...

A lovely place to stay, in a peaceful location. A very warm welcome with a cup of tea and a piece of cake. We had the room with a separate bathroom which was lovely to relax in after a days walking. (The room has an ensuite toilet) Probably the best pack up of our 2 weeks on the C2C! The...

Ok, this started when we wanted one night's B&B in the Lakes on a weekend, and so many places didn't reply to enquiries, or would not take a booking for a single night, and so on. Christine answered my enquiry promptly, and was nothing but helpful and accomodating re arrival times and anything else we wanted to make our stay...

The owners (Christine and John) gave us a really warm welcome, which set the tone for our 3 night stay. Nice rooms with everything you could need, a great breakfast, a fount of knowledge and looked after us as we returned from some cold and wet adventures! you couldn't ask for more from a B&B.
