Cintruenigo sounds a bit obscure, but hotel Alhama really is the perfect pit stop when traveling from Madrid to the North of Spain. The restaurant offers excellent food, good value for money (menu for 13 euro), service is fast and professional and before you know it you're back on the road again.

Situated in a strategic croos road is a nice place to have lunch. Spaniard's eat to plates and dessert but if you want something simpler, try the express menu, one plae, dessert and watter more economical. The staff is very friendly. Food is not fancy but good. Nice pit stop.

It looks off-putting from the outside but is actually much better inside than expected. Wi-Fi is claimed to work in all areas but did not...

This hotel was clean and pleasant with good food. Triple glazed because of the nearby road. Noisy extraction fan in bar which is not turned off at night, so ask for a room at away from this area. Good value for travellers

“I tried asking for a room in a quiet situation, and we were down the corridor quite a long way, but that just meant nearer the source of the generator-like noise. If you're a lightish sleeper like me you won't want to stay here.”
