La llosa de Viveda is a perfect accomodation for visiting Cantabria, but overall what qualifies this place is the owner Jose Manuel, anything you need ask him; in the morning he will comfort you with a complete and variable breakfast, he will show you the most interesting places to visit, and on your return will give you the latest news... I was recommended this hotel by some friends and haven't been disappointed. They're was secure (undercover) parking for my motorcycle and the owner immediately came out to greet me. Accommodation was spotless and food was typically Spanish ie. no veggies! But the 3 course meal including wine for €15 was good value for money. Would definitely recommend it to others.

We had just arrived on the ferry into Santander and drove the short journey to Viveda. The Posada was easy to find with plenty of room for parking. We were welcomed by our host, and shown to our room. The room was lovely. Very rustic, but clean and comfortable. We had a great night's sleep. We had a simple but... More

This quaint old property has around 8 rooms. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Our room on the first floor was very quaint - comfortable bed and nice view onto the lovely garden. The bath was small but quite sufficient for a couple of nights. Continental breakfast was fine - chocolate cake for breakfast!! We had an evening meal one evening which... More

Can only agree with previous reviews, cracking little place worth the effort to find. The owner is a character and a half. Why should her speak English. The breakfast is continental and fine, but the dinner(Cena) is well worth the money, the food is excellent, three courses includes wine for 12Euros. The rooms are small but very clean and beautifully... More

My husband, daughter and myself stayed here on our way back from the uk to our home in Southern Spain. "Posada La Llosa de Viveda" is only about half an hour from the port of Santander. We found the accommodation amazing. We had a family room with one double bed and two single beds. It was clean, comfortable and the... More

Stayed here 2 nights at the start and end of our holiday before catching the boat. The owner made us feel so welcome and although he doesn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish he still made a real effort to talk to us. The rooms are very individual and very very clean. We had dinner both nights plus wine... More

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for a last night before catching the ferry back to England. A little difficult to find at first, but we found it was actually very convenient. Next to a petrol station for last minute fill up, close to Torrelavega for shopping and twenty minutes to Santander. Our host directed us to... More
