What a wonderful place to stay at !! The food was exquisite, the accommodation so much more than expected and the personal touch of having a romantic bath setup after enjoying such a wonderful supper, just made everything perfect. Will definitely be back!! Thanks to all the staff for their professional and personal touch in everything that was done!

I could not fault them. Not on one thing. Service 10/10 - so friendly and professional. Accommodation 10/10 - We stayed in the new quarters. Tastefully decorated and perfect! Location 10/10 - Less than an hour from Johannesburg Cuisine 10/10 - Absolutely exquisite dinners! I hear they have outsiders come for only the dinner... I don't blame them. Five star...

If you're after a quiet, luxury escape from the city in beautiful surrounds, look no further. We stayed in a well appointed deluxe suite and the accommodation was nothing short of perfect. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the grounds are immaculately maintained. And then there's the food - reason enough on its own to visit De Hoek....

I was given a very warm welcome on arrival and I was made to feel special throughout my stay. I loved the beautiful lush gardens and the gorgeous trees. To my surprise, I was treated to a romantic turndown - a bubble bath was drawn for me with candles & flowers to set the tone - it was the perfect...

My wife and I stayed at De Hoek for one night. When you drive through De Hoek's gates you immediately get a feeling of peace and tranquility. They give a lot of attention to detail and everything is clean and spotless. From the gardens to the rooms. We also enjoyed an amazing breakfast the following morning.

De Hoek exudes class, right from the drive in across the splendid bridge to the beautifully manicured gardens and that's just on the outside. The hotel is wonderful, impeccably clean full of character and lots of spaces to explore. Being there on business allows you to clear your head properly and focus on what you need to - this is...

Got there with high expectations. Some stuff was ok (the finger sandwiches) . The rest was really average. Dinner was ok. Nothing to blow the lights out. Starter and desert very average. The main course was supposed to be curry- it was a very dry and tasteless affair. Really tough to get a curry to be tasteless! The service was...
