I stayed for 3 nights in october. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable and clean and the swimming pool very welcome after a day walking in Petra. The position of the hotel is very pleasant with the terrace overlooking the petra mountains and although its about 15 minutes walk from the hotel to the entrance...

We stayed here for 3 nights here 27th to 29th September during our holiday in Jordan. Great little hotel especially considering it is only 3 star. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the owner taking great care to visit all the tables during dinner to ensure guests are enjoying their stay - and dispensing delicious and very welcome Bedouin tea....

Although the atmosphere was partly stiff, partly non-existent, the Amra Palace convinces with a decent standard, a great terrace and a delicious dinner buffet. The couscous tasted like heaven and the desserts like the sweetest of temptations. I cannot remember the breakfast buffet so it cannot have been as remarkable;0) My room was nicely furnished, but the bathroom clinically white...

Great value, really good and extensive breakfast buffet. The staff were very attentive and quick to offer advice re trips without feeling pressured. The pool and jacuzzi were very clean and a nice addition, particularly for the price of the room. A free shuttle to the main entrance of Petra was very handy although the 15 min walk to the...

Excellent welcome- with a map of the town as well as a map of Petra-( why cant more hotels think to do this?) Lovely gardens, friendly staff, stunning view of the mountains and within walking distance of the downtown area. Free shuttle bus to the entrance of Petra. No liquor licence! Rooms are quite small and toilet seat was chipped....

We spent in Jordan 10 days in 3 different hotels and Amra Palace was the best. Good service, very warm welcome from hotel's owner, nice clean room, good breakfast and excellent dinner. If we are ever back to Petra will definitly book this hotel again. Well done Amra!!

I stayed at the Amra Palace Hotel this weekend and really loved it. You could visit Petra and stay at an international five star hotel but you would be missing out on a genuine, Jordanian welcome; from the food to the staff - you are experiencing authentic hospitality here. Also they have an indoor heated pool and a Moroccan bath...

We have just come back from our trip to Petra, and we stayed in the Amra palace hotel. I must say I really like the place. The swimming pool was a fantastic cooler after a hot day in the sun. My partner enjoyed the Turkish bath - she said it was really good. Breakfast and dinner was served buffet style...

I can't say enough about the Amra Palace. Professional, clean, amazing buffet style meals, and a turkish bath for just JD13! Internet is a bit slow and no fitness center (though there is a pool), otherwise the perfect place to stay!

We stayed here as part of a trip to Israel and Jordan ... A great base to explore Petra. Only complaint was that it is 'dry'. - no alcohol. Food excellent with plenty of choices. Nice indoor pool. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the rooms were a bit cramped but impeccably clean and pretty attractive .
