We stayed here two nights to see Petra. After a bit rougher hotel in Jerusalem we were looking for a nice place that would let us relax and be comfortable without breaking the budget. Alanbat definitely provided all three and gave a stunning view to top it off. We got excellent service from the hotel staff, even so far as...

We stayed here for 4 nights as independant travellers. We had a huge comfortable room with balcony and good view, and found the reception staff extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is out of the thick of the town up the hill so has a great view over the valley. Maybe a bit of a hike back from Petra if...

I was surprised to read a number of the negative comments about this hotel (we stayed at Hotel I for 2 nights) which is located just outside of Wadi Musa (1KM or less). We were very pleasantly surprised with this place, in particular the service provided by the gentlemen at the front desk and in the restaurant. First, our room...

We decided to check out Alanbat because of its positive review in the Lonely Planet. We couldn't have been happier. The rooms were sparkling clean (with an amazing balcony and fantastic view), the food was delicious, and there was a free shuttle to Petra as soon as we were ready to go in the morning! The gentlemen at reception were...

When we were researching and selecting a hotel to stay in for 3 nights, we read the reviews for the Al Anbat (apparently there are 2 - Al Anbat I and Al Anbat II?). We sent them an email and were informed of the availability and the nightly rate for our stay and we were excited to get there from...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What began as a name for the masters of the caravans more than 2000 years ago has grown into one of the best and most provisional hotel investments in Petra Region. "Alanbat" is the Arabic name of the Nabataeans, the people who carved Petra, early CBC. Settled in southern Jordan 500 BC, they were expert in water planning & carving. Alanbat Hotels Company was founded in the early 80s by Raja O. Alnawafleh and Brothers. As young men we developed a big area and a small building for a campsite and a hotel. We were the first family of local people of Wadi Mousa town to invest in hotels company and services. We as hotel management have got more than 30 years of experience. Services start with average capacity of 20 poxes; nowadays we have three hotels: Alanbat I (our main location), Alanbat II and Alanbat III. All the new services have been done on our main location to make your visit to Petra and your stay at our hotels amazing and pleasurable. Alanbat hotels can provide you with experienced assistance in getting the most out of your visit to Petra. Our staffs are ready to help you in the soul of Jordanian hospitality. ... more   less
