The hotel is welcoming and perfectly situated for a 2 minute walk to the entrance to Petra . The rooms are spacious , comfortable but shabby and the hotel is badly needing some money spent on renovations and care. It has been a while since I have seen a flat screen TV in a hotel room. The food is plenty...

First, the good: the Petra Palace was an inexpensive option in a great location. It was right on the main street in Wadi Musa, less than 200 meters away from the park entrance. I parked my car for free when I got there, and didn't touch it until it was time to leave. Restaurants and shops are all right there....

First, to understand the mixed reviews, the hotel has two wings - an old wing and a much larger newer wing round a second swimming pool. I stayed in the new bit (my room was 441 down the far end of a very very long corridor that loops round the pool). The room was clean, heating and hot water worked,...

Stayed over Christmas. Pros - short walk to heritage site, large rooms, clean and pleasant helpful young man at desk. Nice cinnamon buns. Cons- very run down, only on-street parking, wifi limited to very very cold uncomfortable smoking lobby and place generally needs painting, new carpets and furniture. Breakfast poor, a lot of processed meats and all crockery cracked, chipped...

It took the management of this drab and dispiriting hotel three days to find a bath plug for my room. Such facilities as tea and coffee making in the bedrooms and proper lighting in the corridors also seem too much effort. This hotel trades on its location close to the entrance of Petra old city and no doubt achieves high...

Very good value for money, based on location alone. Just 3 minute stroll from the Petra gates. Only 2 minutes away from a couple of high rating restaurants - we were there 3 nights and had three great meals. Our room was clean and the heating worked well (surprising how cold Jordan can get in Winter). Service was fine. Breakfast...

I really hate giving bad reviews but this hotel was a major bust, even for just one night. It is run down, moldy and cheap in every aspect. The food is mediocre, and the service the same. No water available for breakfast, and when we tried to buy some at the front desk it became an ordeal. Petra is one...

This was a trip to view the treasury and other Petra highlights but we stopped at this hotel for lunch ,a buffet lunch .The quality of the food and standard of service was reasonably high.the cleanliness was good too . No significant bad points and very worthwhile visiting for something to eat.

Pros of this hotel are the friendly front desk staff, location to Petra (5 - 10 minute walk), proximity to restaurants and overall clean in the rooms. Windows open in rooms to allow fresh air in. Decent lobby area. Neutral items are, as others noted, needs to be updated; rooms are outdated. Rooms not vacuumed daily. Only one plug in...

The Hotel is big with 7 floors and clean, but could do with some renovations. Wifi is only accessible in the lobby. Breakfast is divers with some local specialties. Staff has been mostly friendly and always helpful.
