So, my husband and I had a bad experience, but not because of the Bedouins or the camp, but because of the other (extremely loud while trying to sleep) people. So, definitely bring earplugs--you can hear every word spoken in the tents. The camp was nice, but there weren't many of us, and so the hosts did not tell stories...

The staff is very friendly, helpful, and treat guests with Beduin generosity. We gathered around the fire like a family, shared hookah, tea, coffee and conversations. We also enjoyed a night with no artificial lighting. The tents are warm and not too touristy.

Excellent time with all the staff, they are warm and friendly. During the night, a dog was barking so loud and so close that he woke up the camp. Abu Ahmed (Hamid) came to the rescue! Apparently he wanted food but this was it a dog that belonged to this group of Bedouins. The boys took us to see the...

We stayed at the Ammarin Camp for a full night as a part of the 1.5 day Petra tour with Desert Eco Tours. After a full day of experiencing Petra we were starting to wish we were driving towards a five star hotel instead of a bedouin camp in the desert mountains. However as soon as the camp manager welcomed...

We loved our stay at the Bedouin Camp - we were dissuaded from going because it was the middle of winter, but are really happy we went anyway. The backdrop of the camp is really cool, the food is great and there are plenty of blankets to stay warm, as well as hot water! The guys running the place were...

My daughter and I stayed overnite after a visit to Petra and the next day would be spent in Wadi Rum. We arrived after dark and were met by the staff. One has to realize that this is a camping experience. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and very warm considering the temperature outside. The hosts were very accommodating and attentive....

I've read the other reviews on here and I suspect what we experienced was the absence of the hotel owner. We booked through Desert Eco tours and paid a SUPPLEMENT over a 3 star hotel. We & another couple arrived around 7 pm. We were given tea, which was good. There were 3 hosts & only 1 seemed to understand...

We booked our 2 day trip to Petra at Desert Eco Tours in Eilat, Israel. We were picked up at our hotel early in the morning and brought to the border crossing. After the passport control, a bus from Jordan Tours took us to Aqaba for a short sight-seeing and than, we moved on to Petra with a coffee break...

Basic, Bedouin, and brilliant. Everything is basic but very clean - everything we were looking for. Better than this the team there were helpfull, nice and more than accomadating. We were lucky enough to be the only ones there for the night, and rather than them overwhelming us, they left us to ourselves but kept in earshot in case we...

Honestly, my favorite place to stay when in Petra. It is super clean, they have all the needed facilities, you can either bring in your own tent or stay at one of their preset Arab tents (which is what I did). I loved the food because it's home made food. The owners are around especially in the weekends, they are...
