I highly recommend Cleopetra if you are planning to visit Petra! The staff is wonderful and truly care about the customers. They are very helpful with suggestions and want to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable time in Petra. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Petra (roughly 10 minutes), but you have to find a ride back....

I was in Petra for two days and stayed at the Cleopetra hotel for one night. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Petra in a budget.  Simply put: the owner Mosleh was very friendly and helpful, he picked us up from the bus station (for free) bought us breakfast on our first day as a treat, then dropped us...

For a solo traveller the hotel was cheap and cheerful. It had what was needed - a/s, hot water, free drops early in the morning, lots of mint tea and had clean facilities. Not fancy - but good value. And if you are in the Petra site all day, that is all you need.

The rooms were average - nothing special, but no complaints. Most notably, the owner Mosleh and his staff were beyond helpful and ensured that I had the most memorable+comfortable experience possible, at the lowest price. Mosleh helped me arrange all of my transportation and activities as cheaply as possible, and even offered me less expensive alternatives to some of the...

A family run hotel, within approx 2km of Petra entrance. Double rooms facing street have excellent view towards Petra and are spotless. Mosleh (one of the owners) speaks impeccable english and fully assisted us with all we required and more (including a great place to eat). He totally organised a 2 day trip staying in a Bedouin camp at Wadi...

The hotel itself was comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay in Petra, but the best part of Cleopetra Hotel is how helpful Mosleh was. He helped me plan my entire trip to Jordan (including places outside of Petra) several weeks in advance, always responding to my emails promptly and going above and beyond in seeking out information...

The owner Mosleh started interacting with us even before our trip to Jordan with helpful tips as soon as I started inquiring about reservations. His helpful nature convinced us to book our rooms at Cleopetra for our Petra trip. On arrival Mosleh welcomed us with "Bedouin whisky" which is sweet mint tea and told us our rooms were ready and...

What makes this place outstanding is the staff. Mosleh is simply the most helpful person in Jordan, arranged all our further travels for us, to Wadi Rum including sleeping in the desert, to the Dead Sea along the King's Highway, and even to the border and the airport when leaving. Someone drives you to the entrance to Petra whenever you...

'Come as a guest and leave as a friend' reads the hotel's business card. And indeed you could not enjoy a friendlier welcome from Mosleh, the owner. The hotel is fairly basic but in fact offers everything a traveller needs (without unnecessary luxuries). Our room was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water available in the bathroom. On...
