The ecolodge is inside the Dana Biosphere and the environment is spectacular. Lots of hiking and natural interests - we visited the copper mines from 5000 years ago and hiked the Wadi Dana. The lodge has little electricity so nighttime is by candlelight. Food is vegetarian and delicious. Suleiman, our guide, was very knowledgeable and made our experience so much...

If you've never been to Jordan, first of all, it's a must. Second, making the trip to Feynan after Petra and/or the Dead Sea is so very worth it. A friend booked it, so we were along for the ride. It was beyond any expectation, though all I knew was that it was an eco-lodge and electricity would be scarce....

We had a wonderful stay at Feynan with our 3 children. We stayed 2 nights, but would have loved to stay longer. We had 3 great hikes, one of them wading through the water, which our kids loved. It was also a great place to get to know the Bedouin Community. We had several interactions with the Bedouins in their...

This was an absolutely wonderful experience, but be prepared because it is not a 5* hotel. Understand that this is a community-run operation, not everyone speaks English, but staff are as nice and helpful as can be. Solar powered, so candle-light at night. Nevertheless, lots of hot water and comfortable rooms. Opportunities to learn about Bedouin culture are many and...

We only had the time to stay one night at the Feynan Ecolodge, but it was still one of the highlights of our trip to Jordan. Everything about the place feels so genuine. I loved the sustainability of it all. The staff was friendly and kind, and we especially enjoyed the warmth of our time talking with Suleiman Hasaseen who...

We only stayed for one night on our way to Wadi Musa and Wadi Rum but how lucky that we did. We got to walk through the nearby Bedouin community, see our guides' family's camp and learn about his culture and daily life. We were amazed at the very nice school building for the Bedouin children who live nearby and...

We had a great time. Our group of three does not normally do things like this, meaning enter into an immersive cultural experience in the middle of a short vacation. It was well worth the price and detour, in the end. Lots of people have written about the many wonderful activities already, so I'll add that from the small moments...

You need to be open to enjoy Feynan as much as we did - open eyes, open ears and an open mind. There's so much to learn and experience there from your Bedouin hosts and their knowledge of the region's customs, history and of course its ecology. What starts as a dramatic but barren landscape comes alive as you understand...

The lodge is set in beautiful countryside amongst the Bedouin people who staff lodge and farm locally. The food is to die for and there are lots of interesting activities scheduled daily. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and are very keen to pass on their local knowledge. We loved every minute.

The lodge is simple and quaint. The Bedouin working there are super-friendly - they even invited a couple of us to hang around the campfire with them one night. Food is very good and buffet-style so eat all you want. We did the walk out to the Roman ruins. One tip - don't come on a full moon - it...
