We stayed just one night, but all the staff were really friendly and you could tell they were proud of Dana. Abdullah, the duty manager, was particularly friendly, taking amusing photos for us and teaching us a game like backgammon. He also made us some hot goats milk to celebrate our honeymoon! A chap called Ali T was also keen...

We stayed here one night. We got a room with a balcony and private bath. Unfortunately, it was too cold to sit out on the balcony. However, the view was terrific! The community room is comfortable, and the breakfast was very tasty. We loved our room and bathroom. The beds were clean and comfortable, good heat and a great shower....

This was our 2nd time staying at the guesthouse and its a decent place to stay with great canyon views(ask for a room with balcony) and I usually avoid anyplace with shared bathrooms but our previous visit there had been ok for one night so I agreed to stay again as I know they have good heating in the rooms...

While my friend & I didn't stay there, the staff helped us out tremendously to get to the mountain top in knee-deep snow. AND they organised a private car to take us directly to the airport. We were snowed in on our single night at another hotel, so were stranded for 3 nights in this little village. While it was...

We stayed here in December before hiking down to Feynan. The location is brilliant and the venue has a fantastic view. As with Mudjib Chalets and other RCSN venues you do need to pre- book meals. The dinner was very very good. Our room was great and the communal ablutions were also ok. Can thoroughly recommend the hike to Feynan...

We stayed here coming from Wadi Rum travelling up North to the Dead Sea. The hotel is perfectly located with great views from the balconies of the hotel, the dining room and our rooms. We had two rooms, the one with the private bathroom for the parents and the one next door for our 3 kids. The rooms as well...

The setting is lovely looking into the canyon but my room was awful (poorly lit with no balcony - in fact the lone window in the room looks directly into someone else's balcony). A shared bathroom was not expected. Fortunately this was only a one night stand. On arrival I was told the guided tour was not taking place. The...

Highly recommended as a one-night sleepover before one of the Dana treks, but don’t expect much in the way of creature comforts (think UK Youth Hostel). The rooms are small and very basically equipped, but this is compensated by a jaw-dropping view from your eagle’s nest balcony down the Wadi Dana valley, with splendid sunset views. The inclusive dinner and...

The accommodation is fairly basic, but spotlessly clean, though we were lucky and got the ensuite room. This is more than compensated for by the extremely helpful staff, good but simple food and spectacular location. The fact that it is run to benefit the local community makes it even more worth a visit. Great place, wish we had had a...

I love the simplicity of the guesthouse. It is in just such a spectacular location ... Perched above the head of the wadi with lovely views down the valley. Such a quiet peaceful place. No standing on ceremony ... Relaxed. Whilst I had room 7 without a balcony ... Although bedroom window goes onto to someone else's balcony, there's plenty...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Perched on the edge of the precipitous cliffs of Wadi Dana since 1995, this beautifully styled building merges elements of village vernacular architecture with more modern elements, creating a structure with a definable Arabic character, unlike any other in Jordan, offering breath-taking views of the reserve. It consists of only 9 comfortable rooms, but with a few extra beds, it can be made to house up to 23 people. Considering that the Guesthouse was originally meant to house researchers, all the rooms share external toilets & showers, except for one suite, which has a private bathroom, adding character and authenticity to the entire experience. Most rooms also come with private terraces that offer spectacular views of the surrounding wadi and mountains. The Guesthouse is also equipped with facilities for courses and conferences, making a perfect location for retreats and workshops. The Guesthouse is open all year round. ... more   less
