This hotel is small and very homely. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Only 10 minutes walk from the ski slopes and even less to the start of the night life. The hotel bar is well stocked and prices are very reasonable. The rooms are simply furnished but comfortable. Breakfast is continental and a good start...

Vania and James run a exceptional hotel. The rooms are fantastic, I was staying there with my twin teenage boys and it was great to have separate areas to sleep. The whole hotel was clean and warm, the WIFI signal was strong and reliable, the breakfast was very good and the staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough...

It's a very nice hotel in Bansko. We stayed there only for 1 night because we arrived one day earlier than our vacation began and our main hotel did not have any rooms left for that day. We enjoyed Avalon, they have nice rooms, good breakfast and dinner (we were on HB). We had a very nice room with nice...

James and Vanya were fabulous hosts and all of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The rooms were very comfortable and warm. There was a ski/boot...

We were so lucky that friends in the know introduced us to The Avalon. The welcome is so warm and friendly and Vanya and James extremely helpful? Cocktails and curry night are NOT to be missed, don't assume as a guest you automatically have a table, because James's curries are in big demand. The room was basic, comfortable, with ensuite...

Stayed for a week in January. Offered an all-in package which offered fantastic value for money. This is the 4th time I've stayed at the hotel and it offers all you need. Warm hospitality, basic, but clean rooms and really helpful advice from James. Whilst the resort is not in the main town, it means that it is quiet, but...

Vana, James and their staffs hospitality was exceptional. I was away with 26 others all staying here and we could not fault them. My 2 year old loved running around the cake, coffee and soup on return from a days skiing was a nice touch and Thursday nights curry was the best tasted ever ! Loved it ! Thanks.

I visited the hotel as part of a large group, and I can honestly say that it was the most friendly and well organised trip I have been on. James and Vanya were very accommodating, informative and generally everything you would want as hosts, I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Avalon, during our visit (in the February half term). James and Vanya made a special effort to accommodate nearly 30 family and friends, they successfully helped us to enjoy a great trip to Bankso. The skiing was excellent for all of us, ranging from beginners to confident skiers. James and Vanya helped us...
