Great location with both sweet and savory breakfast; spacious and clean rooms. Location on the edge of the monkey forest, nearby many restaurants with good quality local cuisine at reasonable prices. Good starting point for excursions

We received a nice upgrade upon check-in from a standard room to one on the ground floor directly by the pool with its own sunbeds on the terrace. A real luxury. The spacious room and bathroom were well cared for. Breakfast was not very extensive. You could have egg dishes made, they had bread and sweet rolls, pancakes and a number of Indonesian dishes.
We also used the wellness for a massage.
Near the hotel you will find a number of nice restaurants and you can also easily walk to Ubud.
Be careful for the monkeys at the hotel/swimming pool because they can be quite aggressive. When I was lying on the lounger near the room, one suddenly attacked me and was able to flee into the room just in time.

Surprised by a recent 1* review. This place is a great 4* hotel with comfortable room, 3 swimming pools and lovely, friendly staff.
The location is ideal being away from manic Ubud traffic but walkable to the monkey forest via a short cut where you have to dodge scooters and monkeys simultaneously!
There are lovely restaurants on the same street and amazing value massages.
Food in hotel was a let down and very samey but we were pleased with our choice of location for exploring Ubud

The resort is beautiful no doubt. However, the cleanliness and food variety were poor at breakfast, the mosquitoes 🦟 were everywhere and the sad part was that we were accused of stealing their towels was very painful and disrespectful to us and it ruined our wedding anniversary celebration. Even though we returned their towels at the end of the day if we took them to the pool. So if you’re celebrating a big event is not worth it. Furthermore, we booked more than a year with a UK agent called Gold Medal for a family suite as we have two young children. But they said all family suites are fully booked. So they offered us a Vila right not to the monkey's forest which my children were terrified of and the Vila was more than 10 minutes talk away from the main resort sadly which was a pain for us and we didn’t have a telephone service in the villa. So we had to communicate via WhatsApp message which was also a pain in the neck with the bad WiFi connection. There’s no facility for kids at this resort. So don’t waste your money here is not worth it. The overall hygiene at the restaurant and breakfast facilities was heartbreaking. We dined with them in the restaurant for the first night all of us fell ill sadly as the restaurant was very quiet at dinner time and didn’t the food didn’t look fresh after falling ill all of us. So avoid it if can especially if you have kids is seriously not worth it. There was other stuff as well but I can’t be asked to write further. 💔💔💔😢😢😢

Nice location, next to the monkey forest and on a great little street with awesome coffee and food options. But other than that, we felt our whole experience here was a bit of a let down. We had a two-bedroom pool villa, but the villas are 350m away from the main hotel building in a kind of back alleyway. They take and fetch you by golf cart which is fine, but in honestly, pretty much everything about the room was drab, dated, and uninviting. Bedrooms were ok-ish but bathrooms definitely need a facelift. Quite a few moldy spots and bubbling paint on the walls elsewhere. The outside pool area was small, looked out on to a cracked wall and again just all looked unappealing. Aside from one morning coffee and two very quick jumps in the pool after a morning run, we didn’t use the villa pool or outside area at all, not even the kids, which is very rare. The main pool area was ok but also completely surrounded by other rooms with quite a narrow space for sunbeds if you weren’t staying in one of those rooms. No bar or any real atmosphere there, just a very small seating area with a phone to call someone if you wanted a drink. Breakfast was ok, certainly nothing special. Ladies toilets in the reception area hadn’t been flushed or cleaned when we used them - dirty toilets is a big black mark. Aside from the toilet issue, cleanliness was fine. The staff were good and really tried their best I think - they don’t have a whole lot to work with to be honest. I have to agree with another review which said the place just seems to lack any real ambience or soul. We booked our holiday through a travel agent so I don’t know the exact price we paid but I would be very confident there are better price-to-value options in Ubud.

Staff are really attentive and resort is clean. Good breakfast selection.
There are 3 small pools around resort so easy to select one although limited beds as most are linked to the villas on ground floor with pool access.

The resort is situated outside of Ubud main town so recommend a taxi to take you there which is only £6 ish but worth it. Mopeds are also available in abundance if you choose. Note, Bali is inundated with motorcycles and with little to no traffic laws they are everywhere - it feels a bit like playing Russian roulette dodging them!

Much better selection of restaurants and bars in the town as well as local markets which are open in evening’s up by the royal palace. You can experience a dance show at the palace each evening from 7pm.

Only a few bars and eateries on the small street where resort is positioned so limited choice of where to go and be aware everything shuts around 10pm.

There’s also a Tiny shop run by an old guy who is lovely. We popped in for a bottle of water but didn’t have small enough change so he let us take it and go back the day after to pay him - needless to say we bought more the following day and gave him double the price for his kindness!

The monkey forest is literally 100metres from resort so you do have monkeys frequently on road and sometimes in resort.

Overall we enjoyed our short stay here. It was a great insight into Balinese culture and we learnt a lot from the lovely local people.

Very friendly staff, we got a great upgrade (without asking) and had a room with direct pool access.

There was a wide selection of hot dishes at breakfast.

Fresh fruit, salad, juices and omelettes.

Very good location, right next to the monkey forest (you can see it from outside).
You can get to Ubud quickly via a small back road that is also used by scooters.

We are currently on a tour with Secret Escapes and this was our first accommodation. We received a welcome drink and a warm welcome from the staff at the reception desk on arrival.

Our room was always clean and we enjoyed our stay at the resort.

Located next to the Monkey Forest, the resort provides a quiet central location with a short walk to Ubud centre.

There is an excellent range for breakfast but can’t comment on the dinner as we didn’t have it at the resort.

I would advise that you book the Best of Ubud All Inclusive tour to provide you with all the highlights of Ubud in one day as some things require a short drive and you will be able to see the main sites in one day with lunch included.

Would definitely stay at the resort again!

I arrived in Ubud, Bali on 27th December 2019.
We had originally booked two other Hotels which we canceled after we saw the shocking state they were in.
What a beautiful reception I received. Sri, behind the front desk checked me in efficiently. I was shown to my pool access room and everything explained to me.
Each room has a 1.5 L bottle of still water that can be refilled from the big filtered water dispensers. Then on the third day each bottle will be replaced with a new bottle. The Hotel rooms are clean and beautiful , the staff are attentive and go beyond the call of duty to be helpful. I lost my reading glasses in the pool one morning when I jumped in the pool I notified front desk on my way out, when I go back to the Hotel the afternoon they gave me my reading glasses.
Room service is always efficient. The rate included daily breakfast but after 3 days I was tired of it, so we didn’t eat at the Hotel very often. Every night your bed will be turned down for you, and the staff is very attentive to turn down one or both sides. A lot of attention to detail. Well done Ubud Wana resort!!
Thank you Sri!

Actually, really really good! We had a private villa for 3 nights, and although I was initially disappointed when they reminded me that it was separate to the main building, I quickly found that this wasn't an issue at all. Turned out to actually be a positive. The staff use a buggy to take you back an fourth, and when contacted on Whatsapp, turn up within in minutes to collect you. The distance isnt far, only a few minutes walk.

The villa is large, clean and comfortabl. Also has a nice small pool, and is perfect for a small family. Watch out, a monkey did come into our courtyard and steal our food while we were in the pool.

On the walk to to the hotel, we found the best bakery in Ubud, 'Bali Bohemia Bakery.' Amazing bread, fresh, hot, and cheap.

The ground floor rooms would be the ones for you, try to get one starting with 1 as they are closest to the main building. There are 6 steps from the road to reception. then there is a long, relatively step ramp to the rooms, one step into the room. rooms are on one level with walk in showers. There is a hair dryer. access from the ground floor rooms is flat to the pool in the 1 block. The staff are supper helpful so will assist. The pavements on the road outside the hotel and in Ubud may be sufficient difficult as they are not flat and definitely but on one level
