Reflecting on our stay in Bali as we travelled around, this was by far our favourite area (Ubud) and hotel. Everything from the staff, to the service, to the room was 10/10. We loved the hotel room, we got exactly what we asked for, and the outdoor shower really gave us a tropical experience. I had two massages in my room, I gave 1 hour notice. Again both were fantastic, and very well priced. The breakfast, so much choice and the best breakfast and juice and coffee we have had in Bali! Also room service, quick and excellent food. Hotel driver and front house reception so friendly and helpful, we were able to get taxi into Ubud in evenings and also book trips out which were reliable. If you are in any doubt - don’t be! This is the place to stay. We would 100% come back here if we stayed again.

Surya Kembar Manager, we are waiting for you at 11.30pm to provide us the solution that our room aircond is not cooling since 4pm!! And ur staffs can't contact you to provide us the solution beside one kipas! I'm using the handheld tan to fan both my sweating kids. We informed your staff since late noon the aircond is not cool, after 5th attempts, engineer came checked at 10pm when my kids are already sleeping. Even though the aircond is still not cooling that my kids are sweating! No replacement room is offered only one one ridiculous kipas!

Our family of four had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Surya Kembar Resort. For my wife and I, we were returning to Ubud for the first time in 15 years. For our 14 year-old daughter and 11 year-old son, it was their first time in Bali. One highlight of our stay that became highly anticipated was the delicious breakfast served in a beautiful setting that overlooked a pool, a small rice patty, and trees. Don't think "Continental breakfast" here. We are foodies, and we looked forward to choosing from fresh, filling, uniquely prepared dishes like mee goreng, vegetarian smoothie bowls, breakfast tacos, an incredible avocado toast, and a delicious English breakfast. The service was helpful and polite. We enjoyed room service loaded nachos while playing board games in our spacious room which was a "Boutique" villa. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of spaces for each family member to stretch out for solo time as well as communal areas. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool right outside the room. The staff were helpful and friendly. One example of this was when they managed to send two staff to us on motorbikes to get us through a crowded celebration in the city center and back to the resort late one night when no other ride services were working. We highly recommend Surya Kembar and look forward to returning one day.

Had a wonderful stay at a villa during our trip to Ubud. We stayed in a two bedroom villa - with a beautiful private plunge pool, deck, and large living room / kitchen area. The resort staff was kind, helpful, and very attentive. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast down by the large pool every morning - a great start to the day. Added perks were room service until 10pm, laundry service, and help booking taxis and a trekking excursion. Also, we though it was very well-priced for having an entire private villa. Its about a 20 minute walk into the heart of Ubud - but along some busy roads and hot during the season we visited. It was easy to grab taxis for our longer journeys. There are also restaurants nearby to grab dinner. Would highly recommend staying here

We arrived at 3am, (after hours) and the staff were so friendly and still carried all our luggage and escorted us to our room, then explained anything we needed to know. Our room was made up each morning and so we always came home to a clean neat and tidy apartment with fresh towels and linen. The staff were just generally so attentive to our every need. They also gave us recommendations of places to go to and how to get there. Made our stay incredibly enjoyable. The rooms were so elegant, better then the photos show. We had the ‘Monday’ apartment that opened onto the river with the in ground bath. The view was incredible, it felt like a small piece of secluded paradise.

We arrived in the morning after 24 hours of travelling with our baby son and had 8 days in front of us in this resort, in our private villa (Joglo). The villa is beautiful and especially the master bedroom is stunning. The bathrooms did not have a bathtub, which was annoying since we travelled with our baby. We thought all villas had a bathtub. The overall service of the resort is of the lowest standard we have experienced here in Indonesia, not to mention the food. The food has been of the lowest quality of all the areas and restaurants we have been to (both regards to Surya Kembar and their neighbooring activity club Titi Batu). My husband spent 2 days in bed with a stomach flu after he had their ‘crispy duck’ dish. The only thing they did about that was to send us an e-mail saying that other guests found the duck fabulous, well great. They have a laundry service and since we use cloth diapers for our son, we had laundry every second day. What they did was that they went exactly against my instructions for the laundry and used both tumbledryer, perfume and sun drying for items that could not handle heat. So they ruined the material for his diapers so they are no more waterproof worth 2.000.000 IDR. How they handled that? They would refund us the laundry bill worth 100.000 IDR. Just not good enough! Also they kept some of the wet laundry after it had been washed in a plastic bag overnight and did not tumbledry the items until the next day - this is stuff I would expect from a hostel or low budget hotel. Surely not from someone claiming they are a luxury resort. Also every night we had men coming into our garden unannounced and entered the livingroom of the villa to turn on the lights inside and pool lights etc. Super creepy and frankly unnessecary, we then had to go back afterwards and turn off the lights again in the villa. Surely the place is beautiful, but the atmosphere, food and service is not welcoming and is really low quality.

We stayed three nights at this resort and it was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, and the resort itself is rather tranquil. We also had access to the club next door which is definitely worth a visit! The only meals we ate at the resort was breakfast and the menu was mainly pretty good, we weren't particularly big fans of the juices or coffee but everything else was superb. Beautiful rooms, really nicely done!
