When we approached the entrance of this hotel, it was as if this was a set from a romantic old movie. The long driveway was lined with eucalyptus trees. The hotel building was a grand old mansion from 1742. You could even visit their own chapel anytime of the day, the chapel itself was large and elaborate with pulpit and...

Amazing old hacienda. 300yrs old as I understand. Fantastic buildings, located very close to the Cotopaxi volcano and the town of Latacunga. We found this place by chance. Wonderful place to stay, but not necessarily easy to find. Don't use google maps or waze to get there. It can get a little cold at night but there are electric heaters...

A welcome change from your big business hotel in Quito. This place had a great deal of character and feels like it has many stories to tell. The rooms were large and spacious, the restaurant staff very kind and friendly despite either of us not being fluent. Things like wifi and hot water a little temperamental but to be expected...

This is a lovely old hotel with beautiful grounds. I wasn't feeling well so I didn't eat at the restaurant but my friends say it was good. I was given exceptional service well beyond average because I was ill. They called a doctor for me, gave me a separate room and even delivered soup to my room. In addition to...

The room was well-kept and very large with a fireplace that my husband and I enjoyed. The grounds are a little run-down but still beautiful. The food was good and the staff in the restaurant was very kind. I speak Spanish which helped quite a bit. If you want to come here and stay in a historical place near to...

We enjoyed this and it is definitely an older hotel. The staff was okay and the food was overpriced, but our room was very nice. We loved the old charm and feel, but the view of the Cotopaxi volcano made this worth it! A jacket is needed at night and the heaters are necessary in the room. The water takes...

An excel.lent spot to stay while visiting volcanoes as it allowes you to visit Cotopaxi and Quilotoa. The staff is gentle and the hacienda is peaceful and cozy. The restaurant is, however, overprized and the internet connection is a nightmare!

We had a large room with a beautiful view! The room included a sitting area and a garden tub with separate shower. Other rooms are available in the main house that are rustic and wonderful also. Our tour only stayed one night - wish it could have been longer! Two very sweet dogs on property also❤️

Spent one night with my family. If you are driving to the hotel make sure you call for directions. I was taken by google maps to a different place with same name. Rooms are very old and maintenance is badly needed. The fire place was very nice and in some way improved our stay. Food and staff were excellent. The...

The pictures looked nice but the reviews about this hotel being past its prime are 100% on target. The drive up the long path is so pretty with the eucalyptus trees but as you get closer to the hotel it feels like a bad movie and that you're staying at the Munsters house. The building is in desperate need of...
