The way we came in to this lodge was by dough out canoe it was awesome the view words can not express. After we checked in went to the room and found no AC we were told there are extra blankets on shelf I said why would I need them because it is hot now. They told me it can...

Hotel sits high on a hill above the Napo River. We arrived by boat to see a beautiful group of building with thatched roofs. Our room had no windows, just screens to keep the bugs out, a ceiling fan and a hammock on the patio to relax in...simply heaven. No TV, Radio. The staff was friendly and the service was...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Gate 1 tour. One of the things I appreciated about the Gate 1 tour was their selection of hotels for the itinerary throughout the country. Hacienda Cusin, Termas de Papallacta, La Casa del Suizo, Hacienda Manteles, and Finch Bay Eco-Hotel were not what I would consider luxurious, but they possessed...

Stayed here for two nights, wished it was at least 4-5 days. The ground is beautiful, flowers blooming everywhere. The room was great, no window, just screens separating the room from the balcony, which made it really nice at night. Food (all buffets) and service were excellent. We also visited the animal rescue center, hiked in the rainforest, and met...

Lovely place, beautiful gardens, exotics flowers every were, pool that overlooks the river. Rooms are very large and comfortable, no air, but no need, large fan on the ceiling. Mosquitos may be a problem, but at the time we visited, we had no problems. The hotel offers many outings such as a nature walk on the jungle, getting there by...

We booked a package to this hotel from Quito. The whole trip was a great experience. The lodge is large, the individual rooms are clean and quite large. The grounds are well kept and the location along the river makes for interesting views. There is a large swimming pool and a lot of the dining room is open air. The...

We stayed at Casa del Suizo as part of our Gate 1 tour. Be aware that if you are traveling independently, there may be two or three groups there at the same time and it will get loud in the dining/ bar area. I loved the double chalet we were in, number 312. It was quite a walk to get...

People who stay here either love it or hate it. It IS rustic compared to the usual chain hotels we are used to, but you can't beat the location and the uniqueness of this place! Don't expect dependable Wi-Fi, phones for wake-up calls, air conditioning, TV, hairdryers or toiletries beyond soap and shampoo. BUT, oh my! The views of the...

The positive: great nature guides, nice landscaping, large showers, hammocks on the balcony. The not so positive: poor bar service, front desk issues, so-so food (though the dining staff were nice). The location of the property is the biggest draw.

Our rooms were screened and had a balcony with a hammock inside. There is a ceiling fan in each room. We asked for a different room after noticing a rip in one of the screens. They provided an even larger room much to our pleasure and satisfaction. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served buffet style with a variety of many...
