The pool was great and the rooms very unique with great views. Hope that you have quiet neighbors because with thin walls and only screens, unfortunately you hear more than the birds. Not much at all to do except a couple blocks of a local town to walk, otherwise you need to get a canoe. Nice experience on the outskirts...

We stayed here with our family of 10 on a tour with Gate 1. Excellent staff, fabulous food, spectacular pool and location. No a/c but we felt fine with the fresh air and fans. Excellent experience, loved the guided tours from the hotel and refreshing drinks while lounging around the pool! Unforgettable!! Sunsets were awesome too! Special place for sure!!

First of all, we got to our hotel using a not so fancy water taxi. What a unique and lovely way to get to your hotel. The hotel and surrounding area is breathtaking and of course one of the attractions is the hotel being next to Napo River. The hotel is in the middle of the Amazon and the greenery...

As we came down the Napo River, in our water taxi, we had no idea where we were going, or what was in store for us. We rounded a bend, and saw a large structure on a cliff? "Could that be it?", we asked ourselves. "No, too fancy.", was our thought. We are on a Gate 1 tour, and surely...

Stayed here for 2 nights on a Gate 1 trip and had a fun time. The hotels location is perfect for exploring the Amazon and the nature walk they own in the jungle is well maintained. Rooms only have screened windows so if you are a light sleeper you might have a problem with animal noises (roosters) or the heat....

I was very excited for this hotel on my trip to the Amazon Basin because I love wildlife. There are two ways to get to the hotel by bus or water taxi. If you take a water taxi it is quite the hike up what it feels like miles of zip zagging ramps, watch out because the steps right off...

My room overlooked the Napo River, the patio had a hammock and the view was excellent. I enjoyed the buffet type meals and everything was taken care of professionally from the Hotel help to the cleanliness of the rooms. This was part of a Gate 1 Tour with Guiliania as our exceptional Tour Manager.

Stayed two nights as part of a Gate1 tour. Beautiful gardens spacious rooms and worthwhile excursion possibilities. A large complex so if booking yourself I would investigate the location bofbthe room. Room 400 for instance is near the top of the climb from the canoe stop and room 205 was past the pool and a short walk down the garden...

This was the absolute best experience of our trip to Ecuador. Everything previous reviewers have said is true. No AC, no WIFI, but no problem as there is no need for either. It's a glorious peaceful setting high above the river. I'd compare sitting on the patio by the pool looking out over the Napo River with being at a...

My daughter and I spent the last four days of our two-week adventure at La Casa Del Suizo. We booked it privately - not with a tour group. So much better that way. It started in Quito when Christian picked us up at our hotel. He told us he would be our exclusive guide for our entire visit. We drove...
