Yes, the rooms are small (okay, quite small), and yes, the furnishings and finish have seen better days, but the hotel, particularly the common areas (lobby, restaurant, lounge) are delightful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the grounds are gracious and the views are superb. We also enjoyed a pleasant dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Reminiscent of early 20th century mountain lodges in US national parks, the properly has lovely general rooms offering great views. The rooms themselves however are very small and creaking wood floors might keep you up at night. The food was great.

Although we are very proud of our 100% wooden architecture, we understand that this might not be the kind of architecture of today´s moden hotel standards. Unfortunately, we are not able to modify the room sizes, buy we are able to offer you a nice, warm and welcoming service; in which we are very commited to offer our guests. Have...

The Ancud hotel is beautifully positioned above an historic fort on a headland in Ancud. The views from the hotel are amazing. The dining room and communal areas provide the best outlook but the rooms also have extensive ocean views. The hotel is almost entirely built of timber and is decorated with many timber carvings and local artefacts. The rooms...

Had a one night stay at this venue. The hotel has a great location with a great view of the bay. The staff is friendly. The hotel itself is dated and very average. The room was small (I.e. Can't leave suitcase open and pass type of small) with the mattress in need of updating. The wi-if is on the slow...

Thank you for your opinion, we are very sorry for the inconvenience our room sizes may have caused you. Al¿though we agree with your opinion, unfortunately we are not able to modify the room sizes, since this is a wooden construction of 1965 made by the famous architect Emilio Duhart. So all we can do, and we work on every...

We stayed 1 night in Hotel Ancud. We booked another hotel in Ancud, but due to reasons we do not know, they changed our booking to Hotel Ancud. The hotel is in a beautiful location with views at the sea and it is a little walk to the city center. The room was rather small, but clean and cosy. The breakfast...

The hotel is built like a large log cabin. Our room was big enough, though not huge, and clean. It was winter and the place was warm. Its in a lovely situation. The public area is decorated with amazing wood carvings. We had good food in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly.

We had no great expectations but enjoyed the stay and even eat there. Drinks in the garden recommended as the view of the sea is very good. Rooms are small and the wood walls are varnished with a dark stain: if they had used a lighter colour would have made it airier.

On top of the hill overlooking the water, this is probably THE only decent hotel in the area. The rooms are very small but clean. There is no a/c but you can open the window to get some fresh (and cool) air. The shower is big considering the size of the room - the hot water takes forever to get...

It was a disappointing experience. The rooms are dirty. This is unfortunate, because the location is excellent, and the hotel itself is nice. With a little more care from the staff, it would have been a good place to stay. But the main issue was that the hotel overcharged us. We had a reservation from Expedia but the hotel charged...

The hotel is situated on a high overlooking point of the ocean and has wonderful views, especially from the dining room and conference rooms. All done in wood and rock, the main building is beautiful. The staff are exceptionally nice. Thefood in the restaurant is great, and the management will accomodate special requests that are not on the menu.
