The photos testifying to the cleanliness of the room speak for themselves...
Yet we asked to change rooms as soon as we arrived thinking of an oversight / mistake. But the second one was the same... With suspicious traces on the toilet door frame and the toilet bezel unhooked on one side.
Extremely disappointed
I will detail the rest later (meals, services, atmosphere etc).
Supplement 28/8/24: I finally went from 1 to 3 stars: - change of room (thus 3rd room! ) during the week, thanks to the help of our representative. We've been upgraded. Nickel room, sea view. I wish the first room was so clean as soon as we arrived...
The Pension offered us a meal in their premium seafood restaurant (frozen lobsters I think, at least very floury. Langoustines happen to be simple shrimp, BUT beautiful setting and intimate atmosphere).
Regarding the rest: - Evening restaurants: to book just to the left of the reception (more room than on the app) or on the app, several days in advance if you can, because it leaves quickly. There was no real difference in quality between these restaurants and the classic buffet. Disappointment on that point. Quality "canteen" when you are greedy and demanding as I am... - buffet: disappointing compared to the food quality of cruises MSC for example. We're all inclusive, of course, but it's not fine dining. Quantine quality also. - juice: no fresh juice, only very sweet chemical juices. -personal: some adorable, attentive. Others making no effort to make sure you understand (Spanish or English). Sometimes seem overwhelmed by events (the lady of the reception was sorry for us for the dirty room, but could not help it), and gave us a 2nd room, just as dirty. - presence of animals everywhere (ducks, pink flamingos, peacocks, iguanas), glacier open all day and swimming pool VERY FRIENDLY for children. - the small train (or walking) to go from the reception to the pool/housing/sea part more annoying than anything else concerning me: you must either wait or motivate yourself to walk, each time (not practical with children).
Here I am. I will go to another Inn next time, not sure that all the points discussed here are better elsewhere (especially food).

We had a fab 12 nights here and really enjoyed it. The hotel is stunning, the rooms are lovely. Our only problem with the room was the voltage - Apple Watch charging pad didn’t work and also unable to use my hairdryer - we found out that the voltage here is 110 compared to usually 220. Which was annoying as the hairdryer supplied was pretty slow with only 1 heat setting which smelt like burning. We stayed in E block bottom floor and did have a lot of mosquitos in the room and constantly on the balcony, we requested to move up a floor which they were very accommodating with and we did have less mosquitos in the new room. I did get bitten a lot however my partner did not despite us both using repellent.
Pool and grounds are stunning - staff do a Really good job at keeping it maintained. We found all the staff lovely. We read a few reviews previously about “locals on the weekend” it did seem busier on the weekend but there was never any problems with this.
Sun beds are easy to get around the pool. People did get up early to reserve beds on the beach but it was nice to get up to see the sunrise on the beach. No problems with venders on the beach we didn’t find them pushy at all.
The food was okay, not huge fans of the buffet - repetitive. Breakfast quite strange and limited - had eggs/omelette station a type of sausage and sweet beans, along with continental, the rest of the breakfast was beef fajitas, sprouts cooked veg and chicken nuggets which was strange. We did really enjoy the restaurants, Italian was okay, Brazilian, Asian and tex mex nice, our favourite was definitely the teppanyaki, Esteben the chef there was brilliant and made it very enjoyable. You do have to book restaurants through the app 2 days in advance, we found by 8am majority was booked up so usually woke at 7am to be able to book the time we wanted. Drinks again are okay, cocktails were hit and miss as some made them way too strong.
Entertainment for adults started at 9:30 daily, some shows better than others we really enjoyed the circus show and Michael Jackson, a lot of other staff shows which asked for volunteers for competitions. There was a free mini golf which was fun and we played the bowling $10pp which is a mini bowling but still fun.
WiFi works okay, doesn’t really work on the beach but still reliable. Was the option to buy premium WiFi.
We’re from the UK and forgot about tipping culture - bellboys take your bags to the room when you arrive without the option to take yourself, as we had just arrived had no small notes so had to tip $10. Just a tip to take small notes for this.
We went adventure buggying and to Saona island (booked through TUI) really enjoyed both and would recommend - purchase your own goggles / bandanna before as expensive at the venue.
Overall we did really enjoy the stay, beautiful location just wish the food was a little better for breakfast / lunch and overall buffet.

Overall I had a good stay…. Please read the reviews and be aware. Upon arriving my hotel room door was ajar and not completely finished. I contacted the front desk and too my surprise they didn’t speak English and could not help. The bell man with my luggage helped me move. However the room I moved too had a towel on the bed, cup on the counter and safe did not work. A security guard came to my locked door and was able to open it. I asked was he there for the safe and de said no and I left. I called the front to get it fix. The repair man came attempted and I was phoned that I needed to move again and my room was not fit. I thankfully was upgraded for all my troubles. However, in the new room often times staff will knock and enter without waiting for you the arrive to the door and I’m a late riser. Winston and the other bartenders at the front was amazing!! I enjoyed their hospitality. Melody was extremely helpful at guest services it’s best to make all reservation and accommodations upon check in because they book quick. Do not waste any vacation time on the royal club presentation, while walking to the spa I was stopped by Clara, said she would give me a 20 min spa coupon if I listened to the 60 min presentation it was 2hours and the presenters are aggressive and rudely unbiased. The other serves and hotel staff were friendly and helpful overall and I felt safe on a solo trip with the amount of security there. Pack your own wash cloths and towels they do not provide daily and it was a very long wait when you called down for some. Lastly, the people on the beach can be very aggressive it’s hard to sit by the water and relax when they’re constantly walking over to you. Choose solo sports for all activities they are right on the beach and extremely fun!! I may revisit

Firstly, if you're booking a family holiday here I would recommend upgrading to the 2 bedroom family room. We did this when we checked in and got an extremely good discount. The room did not disappoint, we even had a beautiful view of the sea.
The beach is absolutely stunning and there are plenty of sunbeds so you don't have to worry about getting down early to get a spot. It was always clean and tidy. There wasn't much seaweed at all and there was a tractor that came along every other day to rake the sand. We walked along the beach in both directions and found a few little souvenir shops.
There are 3 pools we tried all of them but preferred the one closest to the snack bar. It was a bit quieter and had the sun all day. There is a kids pool and a pool where the entertainment team are. The pools were always spotless and patio areas were cleaned down every night.
The hotel grounds were beautiful and very well kept. There was lots of wildlife to see too - birds, ducks, turtles, flamingos and Iguanas.
The buffet restaurant had a large selection of foods. Breakfast was probably our favourite meal of the day. We tried it a few times for lunch but found it easier to eat at the snack bar as it was next to the beach/pool. There was a different theme every night for dinner in the buffet. I would recommend booking the other restaurants especially the Italian and Asian. The Italian got booked up pretty quick. The sports bar was great too we did end up there a few nights as there wasn't anything my children wanted from the buffet. It was always a good back up plan if we couldn't get reservations and didn't want to go to the buffet and it's open 24 hours.
There was an entertainment show every night. The Michael Jackson tribute act was fantastic and is a must see. The circus act was also really good.
The shop in the resort is quite expensive, especially for any pool inflatables - if you can bring them from home I would. $45 for a lilo seemed pretty crazy to me!
Overall it was an amazing holiday and other than the shop prices I don't have any negative comments to make. Thank you Tropical Deluxe Princess for a perfect stay ☺️

We traveled as a family, 2 adults, 15 years and 1 year 10 months and were very comfortable. The facilities are excellent, the piece receives constant grooming and the people who serve in restaurants and snackbar are very gentle. In particular, I would like to acknowledge Mrs Adalgisa's excellent work and kindness. I always help us in everything, even when my son is sick. As suggestions for passengers, bring an adapter for your plugs, toothpaste or toothpaste, in small formats (we did not have in the room) for babies do not forget water diapers. There are many tours you can buy in the same hotel at a good price. We recommend Saône Island and the experience with Dolphins.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tropical Deluxe Princess, from the peacocks, flamingos and many other birds roaming free around the resort, to the lizards and the giant bearded dragons. A very clean and tranquil place to spend a much needed 2 week break!
A big shout out to Francisca and Audelina in the beach house restaurant who went out of their way to make sure our every need was catered for and made sure we received a 5⭐️ service throughout our stay. Likewise, the same can be said for Candida in the lobby bar whose radiant smile would brighten anyone’s day!
As previously mentioned, the shop is exorbitantly expensive so make sure you have enough of everything you need before you leave for your holiday!
Our only real issue was with the towels not being changed regularly, or not being replaced with enough clean towels, but this was minor and I phoned reception when this was an issue
The great thing about this place is that there are plenty of sun-loungers so no need to get up at the crack of dawn to save your seats!

We arrive from the Tropical Prices Deluxe which is the same hotel as the Caribe. All facilities and restaurants are the same. Our family room was superb, decor, cleanliness and grandeur. The children had their own sections and their own bathroom with a door between the two sections. The room doors open with the bracelet and not with a card, which is super practical. Children 14 years and older have this bracelet.
In terms of cleanliness, nothing to complain about. The housekeepers did a great job all week. The hotel is very clean, the employees even clean the pavement every morning, the walls in addition to the stair railings. There are not many insects including cockroaches because they spray a product on the site.
Pools x3 clean, superb beach. Presence of waves every day, it is not possible to dive on the site. No sargassum during our week. A 30-minute walk on the beach, there are souvenir shops (don't forget to negotiate your prices!!!) Entertainment during the day with dancing and games...shows in the evening. The children's show could be improved (it consists of dancing to a YouTube video). Games room for teenagers with billiards and board games, tennis table and petanque.
For food, the buffet is varied but repetitive. Good food and the children ate pasta, pizza, fries, chicken, burgers...at the sports bar, chicken wings, nachos and chicken fillets... The only downside is that the benches at the buffet are much too low so choose chairs...
So, in summary, very nice hotel, no negative points for us. For those who criticize negatively or those looking for a little extra, no, there are no waiters at the beach or at the swimming pool, and no, not all the staff speak French. On the other hand, there is always someone nearby who will try to help you. And yes there are sellers on the beach, that’s their livelihood. Just say no thanks and move on if you're not interested. It's part of the Republic, and if you take the time to chat with them, you'll learn lots of things about their way of life...

How to explain my opinion to start I have stayed in more than 10 Punta Cana resorts and for work as a pilot From airplane I spend more than 17 days a month in hotels, therefore I think I have some knowledge of hotels and extensive Knowledge in Punta Cana
Personally the experience did not begin very well the map they send to the mail does not give the correct location, Getting there we let the guest services guy know Benito thank God We found him because he has solved many of the shortcomings of the hotel
Well when we get to the hotel we find The dirty sheets, we talked to D Benito and the manager and they changed our rooms as that is unacceptable
From there the truth that things improved quite a lot D Benito was very attentive all my stay to my needs I organized the Baby sitter service with the hotel and transports for my excursions realizing our needs as a family on a vacation , is a very friendly and resolute person which I would put in a position of more responsibility as he showed me throughout the stay
We had a water inlet in the Room I was offered another room change but I turned it down because I didn't want to move again Benito coordinated with the boys and they fixed it while we were at the beach
Very important to hire the platinum is amortized
In favour
1)Of the best beaches of Punta Cana 2)Rooms modern beds than the rest of the competing resort 3) good treatment of staff with some exception 4) you don't get lost in the well distributed resort 4) restaurant la cava 5) restaurant fogo la picana 6) drinks import type rum whiskey etc good quality black label and extra old
Against
1) quality of low food 2) room service never answer and very slow thanks to we had D Benito we were managed 3) the privilege food has to go up in quality nowadays it is easy to find simple things like a burger, they are not good food very improveable 4) Very poor quality wine even in privilege 5) Upgradable room mattress 6) inedible sushi
Conclusion after everyone I know from the island we will return but I hope they will overcome these shortcomings

I recently spent 8 days at this resort with a group of 12 family members and we had a fabulous time. This is also the 2nd time we visited this resort as we were here in 2022 as well and things have not changed one bit, which is a good thing! The rooms were comfortable and I enjoyed the family suite with the two rooms and two bathrooms. The property is beautiful with tons of natural habits for wildlife, including peacocks, pelicans, flamingos, and iguanas. They have 3 pools that are well maintained with tons of seating. The beach is right by pools and the water is pristine and the sand is soft white and clean. The restaurants were all good and the main buffet had tons of options at anytime for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One thing that made our stay even better was the gracious and accommodating staff throughout the resort. The hostess team at the main buffet Priscilla and Ivelissa were great and made sure we always had a space for our group and never needed for anything. Jose at the beach restaurant and bar made sure we were tended to daily. I really appreciated that when the teens went to get a bite without us the staff made sure they were taken care of too. The lobby bar was my favorite place to grab a drink. My guys Javier and Francy took great care of us with and tons of creative cocktails and laughs.

The Pension is very beautiful from the outside, very well decorated, spacious, it is very nice to walk there. Animals (peacocks, iguanas, turtles...) are part of the decor and this reinforces the charm and authentic side of the place. On the other hand, the cleaning of the rooms and their terrace really leaves something to be desired. We had to systematically ask the maid to change our sheets, our towels and she did not even stay 5 minutes in the room (see photos). It was also necessary to tell him to clean the droppings of peacocks on the terrace, which had time to dry 3 days later... The curtain of our room had come loose, we asked several times at the reception to repair it, in vain (see photo). Regarding the service in restaurants, at the reception, in some shops... Smiles were very rare, cold exchanges, we almost always had the Impression of disturbing. The best were the animators, they were great, dynamic and very pleasant. In short, it really is not worth 5 stars. The stay was not unbearable but I would not recommend it to anyone.

They have a kids show at 8 and then an adult show at 9 every night. When we were there I didn't see any live music but they had a lap top in the lobby set up playing music on big speakers. So you could dance if you wanted. But as far as I could tell not much more than that.
