During our family trip during November break, we stayed in Block 19, on the 3rd floor, Diamond Club suite. On arrival, a small golf cart took us to the Diamond Club, where we were welcomed into a small, comfortable room. We enjoyed a refreshing welcome cocktail and waited at a small buffet. We were then attached with Diamond Club bracelets, which allowed us to open our room.
The room was spacious, with two queen beds and a sofa bed, providing everyone with space to sleep. It included a large shower and separate toilet, although the central placement of the bath seemed impractical to us. As Diamond Club members, we had access to a 'butler', Lisa, who was very attentive. She explained the services available to us and was available via WhatsApp for any questions. Every day around 11 a.m., she informed us of our dinner reservations.
The Wi-Fi was excellent, even on part of the beach. The latter was spacious and pleasant, despite sometimes strong waves (be careful with your sunglasses!). The resort has three swimming pools, including one reserved for the Diamond Club, offering tranquility and comfort. Water exercise classes were offered, and in the late afternoon we were refreshed with cold washcloths and snacks by the pool. The bars offered varied menus and are worth exploring.
Regarding the meals, they were of excellent quality. Breakfasts were taken in a buffet reserved for the Diamond Club, calmer and more pleasant compared to the main buffet. For dinner around noon, the Diamond Club snack bar, located near the swimming pool, offered a good variety. The à la carte dinners at 7 p.m. were a real pleasure, especially at the Brazilian restaurant and the Steak House, thanks to Rosa's organization. Michael Jackson's performance was notable for its choreography, while Elvis's was satisfactory.
On the other hand, Sunwing disappointed us, seeming more interested in selling expensive excursions. Fortunately, Lisa our concierge was always available to quickly answer our questions.
Activities like yoga and aqua gym classes were good, although yoga requires some experience. The gym, on two floors, was well equipped, and it was one of the few places with a water dispenser, unlike the rest of the resort where water was supplied in plastic bottles.

I am currently staying here after spending a spectacular stay at Westin Punta Cana for 8 days. So my expectations were very high for another DR property.
Cons: arrival and check in experience had some challenges. I don’t like the arrival experience and how they set up the luggage hold up at the bell desk. Probably since the line at check in can take a long time, they take your luggage when you arrive and then you still need to wait for a luggage attendant to take your luggage to the room. And none is available at the time. Front desk may be better organized and had some challenges. I am not very happy with their key system as I don’t like to wearing rope bracelets as keys, as if it is stamped. They also charge $150 if you lose this rope that has the key. Rooms are not inspected. We were tired so did not pay too much attention to the cleanliness until I realized a big piece of bloody toilet paper in the bathroom and full of trash in the trash bin. I called housekeeping to clean the floor in the toilet. Servers in the main restaurant seem just unhappy. They come at first to fill your water and get your first drink and they get lost. At around 10 am, you can’t find a clean table with 20 dirty tables still not cleaned. And this is not the high season and it seems they were staffed properly. The servers both for breakfast and dinner seem just not happy. I get it, serving at an all inclusive is not easy but come on. I always tip couple $ even for one drink at the bar, but I just did not feel like leaving any tips. I am not planning to eat there anymore. The food on the buffet is cold and I am scared that they are not replenished on a timely manner so some food safety concern. Where they cook for you has lines for 20 minutes even if there are only 6 people in front of you. Beach did not seem that clean, pools are dirty. A lot of maintenance issues. Flush does not work properly, AC did not work, electrical issues.
Pros: I really like the entertainment people, they are fun, kind to my child, and I like their activities. Not many activities but still fun! Drinks are great, if you tip, they are absolutely nicer but even then almost all the staff at any bar at the hotel is very nice. I like the room, especially the shower. Customer service is good, anything we have any request, they are prompt. So far I only went to Oceanside, it is not that easy to find a spot at most restaurants before 9.30 pm which is a bummer with a kid. Food is only decent but good enough for an all inclusive hotel. Go there early, the service initially was great but after 8.30 pm once there were no people, I haven’t seen the server for a good 10 -15 minutes, we left without ordering any drink, desert etc.
I enjoyed my stay at Westin so much but I know my kid prefers here. And happy kid, happy life. That’s why is my 5 star. Overall so far it served its purpose.

Go! Do NOT cancel!!! Like many, we were reconsidering our plans after reading some of the recent reviews which seemed to take place over the busy holiday season. We are so happy we stayed the course and are baffled by the bad reviews. The resort is beautiful. The staff are friendly. The beach is amazing! (We actually thought it was nicer than Turks!) We have been to many all inclusives that run the gamut from Le Blanc in Cancun (Five Diamond) to Riu in Punta Cana (which we weren’t impressed with), and felt Royalton Bavaro was one of the best we’ve experienced. We were in DC which I personally think is worth it; we had a large group of 14 and our Butler Angelo managed to get our group dinner reservations every single night (we did not expect this!) In fact, we felt Angelo was the best butler we’ve ever had at these resorts. He was attentive and genuine. (Although we didn’t bother him much!)
The room was just fine.. typical beach wear and tear, and we felt housekeeping did a great job everyday! Be prepared to walk as the resort is big. They do offer golf carts, but we found the 7 minute walk from the beach to the main lobby area a great way to get our steps in. Food was pretty good.. maybe not great but good. Our favorite restaurant was Hunter’s and the Hibachi. We ate lunch most days at the food truck or behind the lazy river. No one in our group got food-related sick. We tried to stick to bottled water, including for teeth brushing and made sure everything we ate was cooked. I personally steer away from produce at these resorts, but personal choice.
Visit Carlos and Juan Carlos in the DC pool bar! They were so friendly, especially with our children and made delicious margaritas! We did tip quite a bit and felt that if you are good to the staff they will be good to you! Great people working really hard!

This was a Famliy trip with my Wife and 2 girls 11 & 12. 90% of Resort is Terrible. Please don’t use points or money. Let me start with saying the one good thing. The water park was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed it a lot. After this it goes down hill fast. The buffet food was worse than Ryan’s or Golden Corral. If you go to the main restaurants it’s next to impossible to get a reservation and the food was terrible. Most of the waiters Speak No English and the few that do only can say a few words. So hard to communicate. This also goes for most Bars. The cleaning people, grounds, lifeguards and maintenance speak no English. Plan on waiting to get your food at main restaurants for over 45 minutes. All 5 we went to were so slow. The Bar tenders will not serve yours kinds or even look at them until an adult comes up and stands with them. They spend most of their time taking shots with people. We found lots of cockroaches and ants in our room, Refrigerator never worked, Phone didn’t work, one robe in room and nothing stocked in refrigerator the whole time. We told them (Front Desk, Manager, Hallway Concierge, Cleaning People and their online portal) about all of this and for 6 days nothing ever happened. They kept saying they will have someone look at it. Sand at the beach is nice but don’t expect crystal clear water. Most spots have a 1’-2’ foot drop to get to water. You could not sit for more than 5 minutes without someone trying to sell you something. One last thing. The workout room/gym is so 3rd world and small. Workout machines and weights are from the 60s. It was total garbage. What a Disappointment for being a Marriott Property.

Not worth the money or the upgrade to diamond club was mis lead via tui website if you book diamond club you won't get a beachside breakfast as it was closed for the whole 2 weeks we was there we had to eat at the normal buffet we upgraded for beach breakfast please be aware when booking. also the food truck at the pool was closed for 2 weeks. We ordered room service it took ages to arrive and i mean 1 hour + sometimes it didn't arrive at all!!! buffet was even closed 1 night with no warning. Asked for cocktails in the diamond lounge that was on the menu was told that didn't do them or they didn't have the correct glass for them. Mini fridge was never restocked unless we chased the guy down or complained. I also was locked in the toilet int the room i was alone at this time the telephone in the toilet was broken of course i had to wait for my bf to come back who then had to call staff to come and take the door off to get me out. Another day our room door keys didn't work so we had to wait in the hall for numerous staff memeber to check then the whole door lock had to be changed. At the same time we had a lobster delivered for lunch this was left waiting in the hall bating in mind we ordered this lobster 3 days before for lunch in a pool cabana but it never arrived. Staff also used half a bottle of my bfs hermes aftershave which was unopened we had to keep them in the safe after this.
So many issues we had for a 7k holiday Tui have been no help
plus side - staff in pool bar and restaurants were really nice and friendly and our butler was helpful and cleaning in the room was done daily and pool bar food was the best and hunters steak house was nice too.

We have stayed at a few Royalton Resorts and for the most part they have been good. This resort is way below par, and should not be rated as 4 or 5 star.
- Room overall is fine. Not in the best of shape but passable. Not 4/5 star level. - Check in was OK and person that served us was helpful. - No information provided at check in so navigating the resort was difficult. Staff not helpful so we had to ask other guests where things were located. - The towels in room are sometimes stained and most often are old and rough on your skin. - We have to call for towels as during our stay as the number of towels provided during our stay diminished. - When we ran out of toilet paper, previously used (not full rolls) were provided. - Soft drinks in bar were not consistently replenished - Drinks were not good. Bartenders often more interested in the talking to each other than serving customers. - Main buffet was decent, and occasionally good. - However on multiple occasions we were seated at tables that had no napkins or utensils and had to go asking for some. - Other restaurants are sub par, Italian was awful, Brazilian steak house was unacceptable slow, etc, etc. - Using their App to book reservations was hit or miss.
Not sure if not enough staff or poor management but staff seem unhappy and service was slow.
Bottom line is we will not be returning to this location and will be rethinking of purchasing a stay at a Royalton again.

Last year I gave 5 stars on this resort. A lot has changed in a year it seems. Food is still pretty good, though breakfast seems to be cold in a lot of areas. Oceanside no longer serves the seafood (lobster) it used to for lunch. The bars have stopped serving Tito's and Captsin Morgan's for regular paying guests. Room attendants do not leave any wash cloths, so everyday we had to find an attendant to get them. Our friends in building 16 had NO hot shower for the entire week. Our TV got a blue screen and stopped playing after the 4th day. No one ever came. Just a lot of "broken" things or cutting corners that weren't there before. Sorry management,but hopefully Blue Diamond Resorts will do a total refurbishment in the near future. We do not have kids, but went to Vegas Show and others that they no longer have in a separate stage from the main area now. We probably will skip on this resort next year.

We arrived to our family vacation at Bavaro royalton resort in Punta Cana Dominican Republic on July 27, 2024 with 27 family members. From the moment we arrived, Karina, a representative from the Diamond club, which we are a member of, was insisting for all of us to schedule an orientation session to hear about their new membership called Prime Travelers Club. She promised us each $600.00 vouchers to use for the spa, beach cabanas etc only if we all participated in this orientation. As mentioned earlier we are members, VIP through Travel Smart. In years past vouchers or “ cupón book” were always provided to us at our room to utilize as we pleased.
As Travel Smart VIP members we have not been treated fairly to the benefits we have already purchased through Travel Smart. I say we have not because we are still here at the resort and we continue to face frustration and disappointment at the quality of service we have been provided with. Several of our family members have reported problems with their rooms that include safe not working properly. This was reported several times to our butler Henry and was never resolved. Rooms were not cleaned properly. This was also reported several times to our butler Henry and staff at the diamond club and still the rooms are not cleaned properly. Several of the rooms have a foul smell like sewage water. This has also been reported several times to no resolution. Even more disturbing , We also have house keeping walk in to rooms with no warning or knocking as the DO NOT DISTURB SIGN was placed on the door. House keeping has walked in to the bedrooms at 10:00 PM when our family members are sleeping. This happened to several of our family members and is quite frankly disturbing and frightening to have a staff member walk in to a room with no warning in the middle of the night or day. also our dinner reservation done by our butler Henry were also done incorrectly. And lastly we have personally reported to our butler, and diamond club front desk of cockroaches and water bugs we have encountered in our rooms. We have requested maintenance in our rooms for exterminating and repairs of shower doors, safe, dresser drawers not closing properly and shower drain missing. Still nothing has been addressed. We have spoken to Ingrid mondones an assistant manger to travel smart and prime travelers club. We have even text her today regarding our consents and yet no response from her. The lack of inept and unprofessional staff here is at another level. Do yourself a favor, do not visit this hotel if you want a stress free vacation. See my photos for proof

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and is located right on the beach! They have various different restaurants to dine at in the evenings which is great when you are staying there for 2 weeks and can get tired of an all inclusive buffet! They also have a coffee shop, casino etc. One thing to avoid is the massage salon as this is extremely over priced for a not so great massage to put it politely. Pool areas are always clean and bar staff are polite! There is lots going on around the pool areas during the day to keep you entertained. Live entertainment is on offer every evening which is great as we stayed in the resort at night time. Rooms are very clean and modern and room service is also a free option if you don't feel like going to a restaurant one evening. If we returned to the Dominican Republic, we would definitely be happy to stay here again and would also consider other Royalton Hotels for any future holidays around the world.

We stayed at the Royalton Bavaro in August for 2 weeks and had the most amazing time! We flew from Birmingham Airport to Punta Cana, and it was about a 30 minute transfer from the airport. We stayed in a diamond club swim up room 19133 which is at the end of block 19, it is a fabulous location right near diamond club pool, beach, oceanside restaurant. The room was clean and spacious. Our butlers made sure the set up accommodated our family of 4 (2 adults, and 2 teenagers 14 and 17). We had plenty of space to unpack everything into drawers and wardrobe. There were snacks in our room and fridge filled up! We also got a few extras for our anniversary which was a lovely touch. From arrival we were treated exceptionally, check in was smooth and very welcoming. We were introduced to our Butlers Angelo and Ryan, who worked so hard at ensuring our holiday was special as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Angelo or Ryan made contact every day to check in with us and see if we needed anything, always done with a positive and friendly attitude - they were fab if you are lucky enough to have these 2 as your butlers you'll be well looked after! They organised all our bookings and reservations for restaurants with no issues at all. The ala carte restaurants were all excellent, personal favourites were Hunters Steakhouse, Rio Brazialian and Zen Japanese. I am gluten free and was well looked after in all restaurants. The diamond club breakfast at oceanside was lovely, really nice selection of food, a special gluten free drawer and it never felt too busy in there. The buffet was OK, it had different themes each night, but we preferred the al a carte restaurants to eat in. The pools were all lovely and well looked after, lots of sunbeds available through the day. The lazy river was a great addition and lots of fun, especially with a swim up bar! We had a go on the flowrider which was also good fun, you can go at 2 different time slots each day when you are in diamond club. The beach was lovely, sea clear and not much seaweed. We utilised the water park at the Royalton splash which was great for a few hours, we got the complementary shuttle there and then walked back along the beach. The staff all worked really hard to make our holiday perfect, lots of different events going on at all the different pools throughout the day and different shows in the evening. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would go back in the future if we had an opportunity!

We went last April for a week and it was the greatest time ever. We did do the Diamond club and had a great time. The food was great and we had zero issues. Please ignore the bad comments as people are just out to complain for no reason. We are also going this year again at the end of April for another week.
I have pictures but not sure how to get them to you. If you are Canadian I could probably text them (I am) and I just reviewed the place yesterday. Took pictures of the room on departure just to be safe.
