For us personally, it was a great 14 nights in this resort. The breakfast buffet was great, the spacious rooms and the whole complex were always clean and the beach was great too :) There were enough small restaurants to eat out within walking distance and of course also in the hotel 😎 There were always longtail boats on the beach where you could speak to the owners and book excursions, usually very spontaneously. 7/11 is about 1km away but is easy to do on foot, ooooor you can take the hotel shuttle there for 100 Baht, it waits until you're finished and takes you back with it 🎉. You can get to Krabi Town Night Market for 500-600 Baht depending on negotiation ;) Airport is about 45-50 minutes away, so it's a nice, quiet area. Having read other reviews before arriving at Beyond I was slightly worried….our experience at this beautiful hotel was wonderful. Upon arrival early doors we were checked in with welcome drinks and smiley faces and asked to return at 1500 for room keys. Our luggage was stored and we were given beach towels and shown to room to change. The reception area is stunning… bright colours nice furniture and sweeping views of sand and palm trees. Rooms are huge, comfortable with rainfall and hand showers, huge bed lots of lovely touches and extras. We had a deluxe sea view room. Very impressed. Breakfast area is smart and clean. 3 coffee machines, juices, eggs, ham,cheeses,pastry’s and toast. Lots of Thai food too ! We had lunch twice at hotel… very pleasant if slightly more expensive than surrounding restaurants which are a few minutes walk away. The beach is beautiful and empty. Very romantic location. Cocktails half price between 1500-1700. The staff on front desk were very helpful and they offer lifts to main road and 7/11 for a small fee. Alan was particularly helpful 😊. The hotel bar closes at 10pm but other places around are open until late. We likes Mommas Bar with pool table. All in all a superb stay… if you are going look after the new kittens which often sit near the pool. Lastly … boat trips can be bought from the beach. Highly recommend Hong Island. Highly recommend Banana Leaf. Wish we were still there and will definitely return. Thank you to all incredible staff for making our stay so enjoyable !

This is a lovely hotel in a great location on the beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful, as always with the Thai nation. We had a sea view deluxe room which was a good size and room service was great, although I felt they changed the towels a bit too frequently. Other than the stunning location and pristine beach, the hotel itself doesn’t have many positives. The rooms (especially the ones away from the main building ) are very run down. The grass is very long and there and weeds along the walkways, so not well maintained. We arrived early as the flights from BK are very limited but reception was very unhelpful and just kept repeating “check in time is 3 o clock”. After sitting around for a couple of hours my husband went to chat to them and a totally different lady produced our room key and told him the room was actually ready. There is only one restaurant other than the breakfast room, which serves very overpriced underwhelming food. Rather pop across the road or down the road and eat at a local place, the food is far better and they aren’t trying to rip the tourists off. Breakfast is terrible, very basic and limited, so don’t expect too much from quality of food or variety. Check out the booking.com reviews as well.

4 nights spent. So…… it’s given for a 5 star, in reality it’s barely a 3 star. Just the swimming pool is superb and very pleasant. The beach in front is clean, water not very clear like everywhere, sunset and that's it.... Firstly, the Lobby is located at the very top, without air conditioning, nor in any corridor = suffocating heat) 40 degrees) same in the restaurant no air conditioning and yet I like the heat, unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be 5 stars. Terrible breakfast. Coffee Ok. Tasteless food. We took a villa room with garden, they are in fact old wooden cabins where there is an unpleasant smell with almost no view. I ask for a change with an upgrade, I am offered a room in the new corner building with a view of the swimming pool and the side sea, not crazy but hey the wooden cabins are anxiety-inducing. I am asked for 8000 bhts for 4 nights = 200 euros. Room therefore at 135 euros which is worth 60 e. Dark room, no decoration, it's ugly, soulless, a 5 star = it's a vast humbug. The walls are made of paper, you can hear everything from the neighbor and hallway. Decent bedding. For Check out they want to charge us for an already paid excursion, they take 10 minutes to check and don't even apologize. Everything is great, the staff cared for, the cleaning, the beach towels changed every day, the varied breakfast, plentiful with fruit, bread, butter, jam, pastries. One BEMOL: 3 people in a room for 2 with as extra bed (mine) a child s bed a little narrow 70 cm and a little short. Maybe provide real 1-seater beds for the third occupant of the room... to study.

Beyond Krabi is nearly the perfect destination but is clearly in need of TLC - we had a lovely welcome and a Seaview room with the most amazing view. The room is in need of TLC with mould in the shower, tarnished furniture and condensation in the window.
The welcome, breakfast and the pool bar staff aside, the service was poor - the restaurant staff made us feel particularly unwelcome with the food very average (we only ate there because of a local power outage and recommend the local restaurants and bars where the standard of food and costs are much better)
On checkout there was no ask about our stay and, unusually from our experience, a check needed on our room before we were able to leave for our next destination.
With a bit of investment in the standard of room and staff development, this could absolutely be a place to return to.

Stunning view of the beautiful ocean. We took a room on the garden side but on arrival with this incredible view I changed to an upgrade and I do not regret because at sunrise I can contemplate this view. It is a small quiet hotel, not many tourists it is appreciable, good atmosphere. Access to the beach directly from the hotel. Morning buffet correct, for me it should have fresh pastries not industrial but that is my opinion. Clean hotel, magnificent pool the jacuzzi did not work would deserve a repair. The staff is very nice and helpful. We ate every night at the hotel restaurant good value for money (the dessert fried banana and ice cream deserve to have smaller pieces of banana would have been better enjoyed than large pieces) otherwise the other dishes perfect cooking top meat. Excursion the 4 islands it was beautiful. I will be back next year.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel, it really wasn't long enough. The location is in an excellent location on beautiful Klong Muang beach, it is not a private beach, but is huge and would never b described as busy, Very close to numerous beach bars a short stroll along the beach and at the front of the hotel there are numerous bars, restaurants and shops. We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel facing the beach, it was spacious and comfortable with a large balcony, sitting there with a drink watching the sunset is something we will never forget. The very best thing about this hotel has to be the staff, they were all without exception so helpful and polite and always smiling. Every time we left from the front of the hotel we were taken down to the main road in the hotel tuk tuk, The hotel does have quite a lot of things requiring some TLC and attention and this hotel is due to close in June I believe for major renovation so unfortunately we will not be able to return there next February but a huge thank you to all the staff for making this such a wonderful holiday, we miss you all,
