Set on a beautiful beach with amazing views. Breakfast was good and lovely to sit on the beach front enjoying the view. Although this is probably one of the better resorts in Railay it is in need of some TLC. Beds were comfortable although house keeping was a little slack. They didn’t always leave towels or toilet roll and regularly had to ask at reception for these items. The hotel is Muslim and doesn’t sell alcohol although you can buy this in bars nearby and they are happy for you to drink it in the restaurant. Railay itself seems to struggle with the amount of day trippers that arrive. Most bars do not have toilets and if they do you wouldn’t want to use them as they are filthy!! I think money from tourism should be invested into providing public amenities as this is lacking here. It is a real shame as the scenery here is spectacular. There are monkeys 🐒 snakes 🐍 and huge reptiles 🦎 in the resort itself. One thing that did cause concern is the fact that there is nobody with medical or first aid skills here. I saw an incident with a drowning child and an accident with a lady who had bad injuries to her leg and there was simply nobody to help or give any assistance. If there was a serious medical emergency then you would have no chance here. Very worrying.

Down sides: No hot water Filtered sea water Electricity is only from 6pm to 6am Up sides You get used to cold water in a day when it's 30° outside. You don't need electricity during the day because you either gonna be on the beach or travelling somewhere. Amazing views. Peace and quiet. Family business, so friendly staff and they do take care of the place with care. All the main attraction around krabi do pickups from that hotel. The food is really good, tho the beverage area was a little small with what you can get in Thailand. Location superb. Plenty of location you can travel just by getting a motorbike from them. It truly was wonderful experiance, would definetly recommend Plus it was fun watching a lot of the same people coming to that beach during the day and then leaving back to their far away hotel in the evening when we were staying there until we got sleepy walked 15 metres and were in bad.

We arrived at this very off place after a few busy days in Bangkok and we could not have been more pleased. The place was highly relaxing, right on the beach with hammocks, sun chairs and restaurant. The guy who has the place cooks amazing food together with two women who helps out around the restaurant and the bungalows. The food was amazing, everything from Thai food to western dishes (never tried the western) and the staff was super helpful and very genuine. Very cheap food and drinks! The accommodation was very basic, salt water showers and fan in rooms. Clean and good beds, it suited us perfectly. We didn’t leave the beach for 4 days, simply because we had everything we needed right there. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who doesn’t want the touristy bits of Thailand or who simply just want to get away. Shout out to Tan, the resort dog ;)

We left "Sand beach bungalows" at AoNang Long Beach a week ago and just dream of our next stay. A friendly Thai family business with a dozen brick bungalows (no critters!) By motobike 20 minutes of the bustling center of AoNang. Perfect sandy beach with high trees to lounge in the shade, the water is largely deep enough to swim at high tide and it is quite interesting to have a beach walk to the island in front at low tide. You will see less than a dozen tourists on a 1,5km long stretch of beach. As all resorts in the national park: no AC but just a fan, and electricity only from 6pm to 6 am. Free WiFi all day in the open restaurant area. Food is perfect and "not so spicy" - just ask for anything special you want. We bought a big fish in AoNang and got it served the same evening - with a smile. Want your room cleaned? Just deposit your key at the reception. We booked as we passed by for 1.000.-Bth incl. breakfast, food is around 120.- and a bike for 200.- a day. As we stayed a week, they did not charge our bike excursions. Nice. Look for sandbeachbangalow[dot)com Pro: perfect beach with shade and hammocks friendly Thai people serving good food clean and spacious brick-bungalows with mosquito mesh on all windows free WiFi all day, free beach towels short way to busy AoNang city center book a private longtail for 2.500 Bth and get picked up at the beach Cons: no banana boat, no jetski no entertainment no groups of day tourists some noise of longtail boats passing by just sufficent knowlege of English

This hotel was just amazing. It was me and my boyfriend for 10 days and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel is very clean, the staff are so polite, helpful and very friendly. The restaurant food is AMAZING- much better than the food we had in a restaurant in town. the resort is small only holds 9 bungalows which makes it ideal if you want a romantic getaway! Also it's very easy acess to Ao Nang town where you can go island hopping or shopping, we rented a scooter from the hotel or walked down the beach (need a boat to cross the 20 m river). I would really recommend this place if you want a quiet private place to relax, but also have the option to go exploring as the location is really good.

Really nice place, right on the beach. Accommodation is comfortable, not luxury, but all you need. Best food we had in the whole trip and the staff are just great. Trips can be organised if you want. For this type of accommodation, its the best.

Quiet bungalows on a quiet beach, Nice accommodations, it's the little things... no power until 6pm, and the the genius Gail's and is loud, or the car battery fails, and they charge you for water.... that killed me. I'm not cheap but I've never seen that in my life. You need that to live. Other than that the food is great, and like I said it's out of the way so... be prepared to rough it a little.. no shops or places to go, but the beach and view of krabi is great.

Plus - CALM! Very secluded and intimate, nobody on the beach (max 5-10 people on the whole coastline which is 2-3 km long) - Roomy bungalows with clean sheets (If you can ask for bungalow no. 1 or 2 - do it! They're the only ones with almost ocean view, and that can reach the wi-fi) - The people are so nice and smiling - But they reflect you. If you want your privacy, they can leave you alone as well - perfect hosts! - The food in the restaurant is delicious, authentic and there's a wide range of choice. But don't expect michelin stars! People have a weird way of expecting things that don't exist. It's an outdour kitchen on the beach, but everything is kept in airtight clean containers, so there's nothing wrong with the cleanliness. - Restaurant on the beach with a view! - Easy and cheap rental of scooters (250 baht/24 hours - under 8$ a day) - The sweetest dog ever (his name is Tan) - Shallow water, most of the time (up to navle) - Our biggest check for food was around 800 baht (appetizers, 3 main courses and a dessert + drinks) which is around 25$ for us both... - The neighboring city (Ao Nang) is vibrant with shops, massages, good restaurants and a chill beach vibe. (If you want to eat at the Jungle Kitchen - book days in advance!) - lots of hammocks! - They didn't misrepresent them selves on any booking-site. Minuses (Most of them were not promised or advertised, just improvements that would have made this place the BEST) - no ocean view from either bungalows. - no wi-fi from bungalows 3-7. - only cold water anytime of the day. - only electricity from 6PM to 6AM - only cleaning once during your stay - old plastic beach-furniture - no air-conditioning just a fan. - The included breakfast is kind of thin - but it's okay. P.S. There is a dog on the resort named "Tan" which is so nice. But the other dog is also very very kind, and happy. I would have loved to take the other dog home. He is so skinny, but still very sweet and nice. I would love to support anyone to take care of it! We called the other dog "Lau"

We tried all the Tripadvisor winners and fancy restaurants in Klong Muang area but we found the best food from here. Prices are not that cheap but compared to the other restaurants IN THIS AREA this was one of the most reasonably priced ones. Really tasty food and ask for a spicy! We were pretty disapointed Klong Muang as a area because it is full of resorts and well dressed tourists, but the beach front here and the restaurant made our stay liittle bit better. :)
