We decided on Strandfontein Accomodation for our annual getaway this year.... 6 days off absolute bliss!!! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and only made a trip to Vredendal (about 40km away) on the 3rd day to spoil ourselves with a meal at Spur. The rest of our time there was spent on the beach and reading in the comfort...

We spent four nights at Villa Michelle. The location of our accommodation was not 10 Hoog Street (2 roads from the beach), but 5 roads up from the beach. I made the booking with the Hoog Street location in mind. Our room also didn't have a balcony and didn't have a view overlooking the sea. Other than that, our room...

We stayed in the Timbaktu Unit. Open plan unit. The bathroom are so small, you can hardly turn inside, the shower were crappy, The bathroom's door, is just a sliding door, very close to the bed. The furniture is really outdated. This unit needs a make over. Nice sea view though.

We cancelled our booking for 2 nights due to unforeseen family circumstances and although it was advertised as Free Cancellation if cancelled more than 30 days before booking date we were still charged around 20% for admin/commission.

We have been at the Sol-y-mar1 again. The Apartment overlooks the Campground and beach and gives you the perfect place to relax. If you are looking for a quite place listening the noise of the waves you are right here. When too lazy to cook, a nearby retaurant at the small harbour helps.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. Apartment was not aired properly, stale smell. Bedding was not crisp and top bathroom had no shower, only bath. Two top bedrooms joined by bathroom, not practical for families. Only plus was nice patio and view.
