Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked the accommodation online as I wanted somewhere close to where my friends lived. I was notified by the owners that no one would be there when i arrived and the door would be open, and where to find my room key, that was good. The room was clean and tidy. There was tea and instant coffee available with UHT milk in the fridge. The weather was cold and the only available heater was a 6 fin oil heater which struggled to heat the room. Due to family circumstances there was no one to restock the tea and coffee and milk. I never saw anyone there for four days. There are no shops within walking distance so you need a car to get supplies. Overall the motel was tired and needs a renovation. The driveway is also under repair.

We traveled in peak season and found this place along gorgeous stretch of coastline. Close to all amenities, parks, great swimming spots, stunning beaches. Motel is really good value and very clean, helpful and accommodating. Rooms are older style but are airy and have rear veranda over looking grass land. Great for kids!

This motel is run by people who smoke in the reception area . As I went to book in I saw a family on mattresses in the reception area and the adults were smoking . The woman who booked me in stunk of cigarettes and couldn't even work the eftpos machine so she told me to pay in the morning . The room was basic but only 2 towels no bath mat and no hand towel for $110 dollars a night I expected a bit more . In the morning at 9am when I attempted to check out I could not find anyone I rang and banged on my he door for a good 10 mins finally she came out in her pyjamas obliviously hung over . What a terrible motel .they never even contacted me as I left my expensive pillow there . Don't stay there it's a joke .

A very run down resort(I think not) ! A very tired old fashioned motel. ,Receptionist very slow and had no idea how to finalise our stay. Put luggage in my room and then was immediately locked in the bathroom. I could not get out and had to yell through the bathroom window for help. The receptionist immediately rushed in with a paper clip to pick the lock. She knew how to do it as she said people got locked in all the time! She said she would leave the paper clip for me and to make sure I took my phone to the bathroom in case it happened again! The toilet continually flushed and I had to turn the water off which proved a difficult task but after two hours the toilet finally became silent. To top it off the room was absolutely FREEZING. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the TV in the next room and hear them showering, it was like sharing a room with someone. The bed was cold and very uncomfortable making sleep almost impossible. Please don't stay at this hotel. I believe it was recently sold and the owners should close it down or renovate.

I stopped over here for a one nighter with two friends. The staff where accomodating, we checked in late at night and left early in the morning. The room was perfectly clean which made us feel very comfortable. The room is older style. Good sized kitchenette. Only complaint is the generic brand in-room coffee sachet's have to be the worst I've ever had. Would stay again.

Affordable, very friendly and helpful owners and staff. The rooms are clean and about in line with expectations for the price. Has a nice (not abandoned) game room and nine hole golf course . Short drive from excellent Bonny Hills ocean beach for swimming and surfing.

Good amenities, reasonably priced, quality staff and service. It has 1980s look but very comfortable. TV, coffee making facilities, common barbeque area and swimming pool. Enjoyed the stay here. the games room was the best feature of the motel.

Management will be changing soon. They've decided to enjoy family and life after a time managing this motel. Surroundings are lovely and rooms are good. No heating except for a little fan heater tucked away in a cupboard. I suppose heating is not in much demand at Port Macquarie but the wife likes a warm environment.

Stunning grounds, nice little pool and large comfortable and clean room with plenty of amenities. WiFI did not work very well in room. Staff very friendly. Had a small fridge, kitchen sink with dishes, toaster, microwave, and kettle. Perfect for a stopover point.

An older motel (80's era?) Quality fittings with clean and tidy presentation. Comfy bed and very roomy, even has a kitchen sink, with a decent, working fridge. However, they don't do eating in, nor have air con. We relied on the ceiling fan on a very humid night. Otherwise, it was a convenient stop over with helpful, friendly staff.
