CASA-22 is only 15 minutes drive from the international airport of Puerto Plata. CASA-22 welcomes its guests in a very spacious lounge architecture with an open bar/terrace to relax next to the private swimming pool including a fantastic romantic roof top lounge with a stunning view where they can watch together the sunset while zipping from a refreshing home made cocktail. Guests can choose between 3 spacious luxurious suites of 75m² to 80m² each including a private terrace (and one even with a private Jacuzzi tub integrated in the terrace) and 2 standard suites of 35m². All these spacious luxurious suites are the perfect getaway as a couple or a group of friends or a whole family or a wedding. My job consists in a lot of travelling and thus spending most of my time in hotels around the world. We selected Casa 22 for holidays with my wife and 6 year old son as we wanted to avoid the "all inclusive" experience and have some quiet and good family time.
We could not have chosen better!!!
Casa 22 is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. The quality of the room, its size, the equipment in the room, the location of the hotel (5 minute walk to Sosua beach), the swimming pool, the water treatment system allowing guests to drink water from the tap without any issue, etc. Everything was better than expected. It started with the E-mail sent to us just after confirming the booking online, to ask us some details about ourselves, our food preferences and allergies and our dressing gowns size (I never experienced that before). At arrival time, we were welcomed by Saskia and Marc who gave us a very warm welcome and have paid attention to every small details during our entire stay to make sure that we were happy. The small size of the hotel made it very pleasant as we have had the feeling to be very special guests during our all stay. Every day, we combined visits to the beach and stays at the swimming pool that we almost had to ourselves every time. In addition to being very efficient, the cleaning staff made a point to fold our towels every day in a new creative way with special characters appearing every day on our 6 year old son's bed which made him smile every time we cam back to the room. On top of that, the restaurant (Casa 21) managed by Saskia and Marc and accessible directly from the hotel is a very high standard restaurant for lunch and dinners. And the breakfasts served in this same restaurant are of equal quality with fresh fruits and juices every morning.
All in all, we could not find any flow in our one week stay in Casa 22 and we hope we will have the chance to stay there again.
I can not recommend enough this hotel.

I normally do not write reviews in general, however I have to say what a wonderful place and experience at Casa-22 in Sosua ! First, this boutique hotel is modern in design and on a quiet block off the main road, very close to Sosua beach, walking distance. The rooms are fantastic, very comfortable and well kept. It is what you would like to come back to after spending a lot of time out. The staff are excellent, the most accommodating I have experienced here in the Dominican Republic. We could not of asked for a better host of Saskia & Marc, they are wonderful people in all ways. Very accommodating and helpful with information you require and great suggestions. I stayed in the Royal suite, I highly recommend this room for everything it offers, but all rooms are very nice. You would not be disappointed with any room there, trust me ! The restaurant Casa Veintiuno is one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in DR. Great quality, with creative dishes that taste so well, you will not be disappointed ! Even the breakfast served is outstanding. Overall the place is Excellent with great service, Food & location ! I do plan on returning ASAP....Thank you to Saskia, Marc & all the Staff who made our short stay a memorable one !

We have just spent a fabulous week in this new boutique hotel in Sosua. Their setting, approach, service, rooms, … everything is superb! All rooms are furnished very luxuriously, down to the last detail; king size beds, double sinks and double shower, separate toilet, large TV screen, modern look, etc. We stayed in the royal suite with its extra-large terrace with Jacuzzi, daybed and massage table. Take a swim in the beautiful pool, enjoy a great massage in the gazebo in the garden, have your cocktail in the open pool bar or at the roof top lounge while enjoying the amazing Caribbean sunsets... everything is possible! Breakfast, lunch en dinner can be enjoyed at next doors Casa 21. What a way to start or finish your day.

I heard this statement several times daily from our wonderful host Saskia, who with Marc, created a perfectly tranquil home base for our north coast DR vacation. With everything neatly coordinated prior to our arrival, the airport service and taxi ride was smooth, we arrived at the boutique b and b greeted by three very different, but all equally loveable, dogs, and our gracious hosts, Marc and Saskia. Our 7 night, 8 day stay was flawless. The Royal Suite was always tidy, mini bar well stocked, with every need already met, or quickly met by staff. The whole staff was remarkably friendly, professional, and eager to assist from hosts, to waitstaff, to housekeeping, and grounds crew. Breakfast is excellent with choices of various breads, meat, cheeses, spreads, and eggs prepared by order. My wife and I assumed we would spend most of our days in town or exploring nearby Cabarete and Puerto Plata, but after a day in each, we were so pampered at Casa-22, we spent most of our remaining days right by the pool resting, sunning, chatting with guests, or watching the dogs. Everything was very much to our liking. We will most certainly return.

We needed a quiet getaway for only 5 days. Somewhere to have peace and quiet, outstanding food, and the best hospitality. We were more than 100% pleased with Casa 22 & Casa 21 (known as Case Veintiuno). We booked the room at Casa 22, we had the pool side room which was beautiful and modern with a shower that had two shower heads (great for couples). The bed was a king size and super comfortable. We were steps from the pool and the lounge area and 20 steps to Casa Veintiuno that served the most wonderful meals. We are foodies from Toronto and I can honestly say the dinners were comparable if not better than some of the best in T.O.
The accommodations were 5 star but it was the hospitality of Saskia and Marc that made our trip outstanding. We arrived on Friday night and had no booking for any excursions. We didn't realize because of our short stay that excursions were difficult to arrange b/c most tour groups book in advance for the upcoming week and don't run excursions every day. However, at dinner during our meal, Saskia connected with the tour groups to find us space on a waterfall/jungle excursion we really wanted to do and had it all arranged by the time we finished dinner with a pick up first thing in the morning. Not only that, they even opened the kitchen 30 min early to have breakfast ready for us before our pick-up time. Wow, that was service! That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the 5 days. We want to thank Saskia and Marc for a wonderful time.

Your experience at Casa-22 will exceed all and any expectations you may have about a perfect getaway! From luxurious amenities to personalized service, everything in this secluded boutique hotel was designed to create memories of a lifetime! The hotel is located 5 minutes away from the public beach and 10 minutes away from the main area of Sosua where you can find banks, bars, shops and local restaurants. Although, you may never want to dine anywhere else but in Casa Veintiuno restaurant owned and operated by the loveliest and most hospitable hosts, Saskia and Marc! The restaurant deserves a separate review, but it is worth to mention that it is located on the property of the hotel and serves breakfast to all guests of Casa-22. Excellence all around!

We have previously stayed at Casa Veintiuno (right next door) and are absolute fans of what the owners Saskia and Mark have created, so when we heard about Casa 22 and that they would be the administrators we had to go. Let us say it was for us the most relaxing vacation we have taken. It was wonderful.
First off the design is stunning, but at the same time serene and relaxing. The pool area for us was our favorite. Just laying there enjoying the beautiful gardens, listening to light music, sipping on an expertly made cocktail was amazing. The rooms were terrific. We booked the Cocoon suite because we were drawn to the relaxing decor and the fact it had a wrap around balcony, I loved curling up on the chairs provided reading just taking in the surroundings. The beds were very comfortable, and towels, sheets, and bathrobes were of top notch quality. The two housekeepers kept the whole place absolutely spotless!
Breakfast is included in the price and served at Casa 21 which is right next door, but you don't have to leave the property to access it you just go through a connecting side gate. It is simply wonderful. Fresh tropical fruit juice, fresh fruit, fresh pasteries, cheese, sliced meats, and anything else you might want just ask for. On our last day we had delicious Belgian crepes. :) Lunch is also available to guests of Casa Veintiuno or Casa 22 and was equally yummy. Dinner is more than yummy, but I've left a separate review for that. We actually ate there most of our trip, and the prices are so reasonable our stay with food and drink was WAY cheaper than the higher end all inclusives and the food WAY better so for us it was a no brainer. We definitely choose quality over quantity anytime.
Service and any needs or concerns are immediately attended by Saskia and Mark. They are amazing and quickly make it known they are there to serve. The location is ideal. It is a short 5-10 minute walk to the main beach in Sosua, and although some may feel this is a disadvantage it is NOT! it is a huge plus! The beach area can be quite loud and as Casa 22 is quietly tucked away just off the beach you basically get the best of both worlds. Although from the rooftop deck you can see the beach. It's also an easy walk to the grocery store for any extra goodies you may want to take home with you.
You will not be disappointed by staying at Casa 22.

Clean place, cozy bedroom with terrace, hydromassage jacuzzi, has a bed at out side, And a massage table. Great decoration. The host and the other people are very friendly. One thing they shoud consider is hot water for the jacuzzi.

A very pleasant experience at this hotel. Just as stated, I was greeted by Saiskia and the crew upon arrival. Saskia and staff were very professional/relaxed and helpful. The room was excellent, could not have asked for better. High quality first class treatment best describes your establishment. I would definitely recommend your hotel to those wanting high quality service. The location is perfect, only a couple minutes walk away from the beach. Look forward to staying there again sometime in the near future.

Only stayed here for a few days to get over jet lag before heading out to explore the island. This was by far the best hotel experience of our trip and easily beats the luxury hotels of Santo Domingo. Saskia and Marc are just as nice and helpful as everyone says. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable; also quite apparently brand new. Couples - if you have only recently met, take into consideration the fact, that at least the toilet in our room did not have a door. 🙂 Two pools (shared with neighbouring Casa 21), pleasant garden / pool area. Breakfast well worth the money. Staff make excellent cocktails and the food at the restaurant of Casa 21 is actually quite impressive. The hotel is a short walk from the beach (you do have to cross a very busy road). There’s also a supermarket close by. Wasn’t a big fan of Sosúa, but would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Hi, the majority of our guests are couples. Occasionally, sometimes couples bring one child with them.Our policy is not adults only as children of our guests are also welcome but most of the time our guests are couples that visit my property because of the tranquility and privacy we can guarantee. All guests need to be preregistered at time of booking so we don't allow men or women of pleasure into my property.
