A beautiful, graceful oasis overlooking Sosúa. We spent 5 days as guests, and returning to El Mirador after each day of experiencing the many activities available in the Puerto Plata/Sosúa/Cabarete area to be greeted at the gate by Zeus, the red and white Collie mix was a pleasure. The owners are very welcoming and truly interested in ensuring their guests enjoy the stay. Massimo is an artist with pasta, save at least one night to enjoy his creations. Luce and Maximo have created something very very special. If you want peaceful and beautiful but also close to everything then this place is perfect. It is the best place I have stayed in the whole of DR and possibly the world! This beautiful couple work so hard to make sure everyone's stay is the best possible, they are so friendly, so welcoming and so accommodating. Breakfasts are great and they even cook for you at lunch and in the evenings if you want (healthy chocolate deserts too!!!). This is super useful and also super high quality too. It is a great place for single travelers as it eems to attract very nice people probably because it is so beautiful and quiet. Even better if you like meditation and yoga. Its like paradise. The rooms are spacious, super clean and are really well designed by the owners. Great attention to detail and lots of good energy. So thankful to have found this place will come back and tell all my friends and family about it if could give it 6 stars I would. Thank you Luce and Maximo!!!!

Fantastic view . Quiet area . Luce and Massimo is wonderful people. Apartment was nice , outdoor kitchen and room with double bed . I stay for 2 1/2 months . I really had a good time staying there . They are wonderful hosts who do everything to ensure that the guests have a good time.

If you are looking for the most beautiful and peacefull place in Dominicana - here it is! I could spend every holidays in B&B El Mirador al Mar. Luce and Amy are wonderful and inspiring people. Apartment was clean, comfy and functional. Breakfasts were nutritious and delicious. Surrounding nature is breathtaking. If you are in Dominicana you HAVE TO visit this place :)

It is a delight to share a review of this excellent find in the Sosua hills of the D.R. Your hosts Luce and Massimo who moved here from Italy are relaxed and wonderful, yet attentive, and in particular keep a very tidy and clean property which they had specially built. The rooms and private bathrooms are nicely appointed and was able to take a tour of each room. With only 4 rooms, this is a much nicer experience than a hotel or resort.

Lovingly situated up the hill from Sosua Central. This is a great place to relax and recoup. 10 minute walk to all amenities. Rooms are clean and spacious and the hosts Luce and Maximus are fantastic and always obliging.

B & B El Mirador al Mar in Sosua, DR where I stayed is truly a special place. There is nothing else like this I have ever encountered.
Luce and Maximo, the hosts, originally from Venice, Italy, are into 'home-made, no non-sense, authentic' living. They built the WHOLE inn by themselves - the structure including the beautifully designed floors, walls, and ceilings, individual rooms, and every single item inside them. Maximo even made a round wooden yin/yan symbol keychain! The place has quiet beauty with a sense of play and openness.
Luce and Maximo were working in Italy, but moved to DR 7 years ago, wanting to pursue their desires of being in nature and creating the place and the experience for people. B&B Mirador al Mar is a place where you can find tranquility to connect with yourself, connect with nature around you, and connect with people.
Throughout my stay there, Luce and Maximo treated me like a family member and a close friend. I was invited to Christmas brunch, New Year's Celebration (for both Maximo cooked), and an evening walk with a neighbor which gave me a chance to meet their friends and other guests to get to know them and listen to their intriguing stories.They even took me to Cabarete, a beach in the town next to Sosua, to see kite-surfing and dinner. Their hospitality is above and beyond!
El Mirador al Mar is perfectly situated on a hill in lush greenery, away from the noise of the city and only 10-15 minutes walk to the beach (the route is beautiful with animals, plants, and flowers).
I'm so thankful that I found this place! Can't wait to visit again...
