Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed in Casa Valeria in January/February 2021 for 3 weeks in a Superior room with very nice private patio

The Casa Valeria is very well maintained, the staff are very service minded.
The hotel is very very central and close to very things and it comes with a price that some of rooms can be a little noisy.

I appreciate:
• Kind and friendly staff do the best they can to help
• Very good breakfast
• Very clean rooms and good housekeeping service
• Comfortable bed with quality madras
• Very god air-con.
• High speed internet connection
• Functional bath room, with hot water with god water pressure.
• Cable TV with god selection of English-speaking channels.
• Complimentary bottles of water
• Small but nice swimming pool

By far my favorite hotel. Staff always warm and friendly

Ruth is the very best. She always take care of us each time we come
The food from the restaurant is always good
Due to the curfew imposed all guest had to be back at the hotel by a certain time. The hotel staff made sure that food service continued by throwing a BBQ every night. Great service

The Hotel building is new so it is good, There restaurant sucks. At first they served me with meat when I did not order meat and then they served me a rotten egg, plus they charged me $450 for the breakfast even though I only had one slice of bread. When I complained to the owner he was least bothered and had no concern at all.

The place is so noisy 24 hrs that you cannot sleep with peace.

When you reserve the room they say you need to pay extra for 2 guests but when it comes to serve free breakfast to the second guest, they recommend to do so.

They are only money minded and do not care for their customer.

I spent 1 night here, May 25 to 26, 2022. My overall opinion is that Arien has done a great job to earn my respect and positive review. In the past, I have been one of the most severe reviewers of the place but now I think they are in my very strong top 3 hotels of Sosua in terms of cleanliness, location, safety and customer service. One suggestion is that they need to have a better and more clear communication with customers to avoid confusions such as the one that made me unable to stay there for my entire time on the island.

Had the pleasure of staying in this great little boutique hotel in the first part of December for 3 nights. Than I moved on to an all inclusive in Puerto Plata for a couple night. Than back here for 3 more before heading back to the cold in Canada.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything looks like it has been updated in the last few years. The showers had lots of hot water and were nice and clean. In the morning the coffee was always on and the breakfast was perfect with a few different options. The staff and owners here really made me feel like family.
Can't wait to come back.

Thanks again Dean

This is one of my favorite places to stay when I am in Sosua.Unlike it's competitor next door, The rooms r modern update, the bathrooms are modern tile, hot showers, fresh towels clean linen on beds, a safe that works, air conditioner works,TV that works and the rooms are nicely decorated. The staff is pleasant polite friendly and speaks English. As an added bonus breakfast is included as well, and yes the hotel is chica friendly!!! Gustavo

Hello Gustavo! I am glad you enjoy our little boutique hotel for your visits! Yes, a TV, AC, or safe is quite useless to have in the room if they do not work :D. Always striving for the top over here and ready to invest on any input or new ideas from our clients! Ready here for your next stay (as long as availability allows!)

We have been the hotel on our visit to Sosua.

Everything has been perfect.

Very good attention, personalized treatment, a lot of help for the family.

They also have a restaurant in the hotel with hearty food with lots of Dominican flavors.

My congratulations to Casa Valeria.

** The hotel is located very close to two very splendid beaches.

Clean, well maintained and nicely located. Not far from the beach, restaurants and places of interest. Nice swimming pool and very good restaurant on premises. Breakfast is good, except they will charge you for coffee refills. Airport transfers a bit pricey, but no hassle. Expect some noise in the morning not too early but from a school baseball stadium next door. Overall a great place to stay.
