Detailed Reviews
This B&B makes you feel like home. The lovely hostess, Cristina, who herself lives in the house, welcomes you with open arms and makes her best to fulfil all your wishes. Nice breakfest is included in the rate - you´re asked what you want for breakfest and you just get it, it´s as simple as that. Everything is homemade and so delicious - jam, squash, break, cake, pesto, just everything! You can also order some homemade lunch or dinner for a very reasonable price (we paid 180 pesos for a lunch or dinner). Cristina is an excellent cook and our plates were really full.
The facilities and the rooms are nice - although the house and the furnishing are a bit worn, you have everything you need and even more - the rooms are spacious and equipped with a fan, wifi was working fine, there are two swimming pools, table tennis, a cozy patio inviting to sit there and chat with other travellers about their plans and experience or play cards..in fact, this was the most sociable and friendly place we stayed at in the Dominican Republic (of course, if you´re not really into hanging out with other people, nobody´s going to force you to socialize :)). Also, the price for the acommodation is really low!
It´s located outside the centre of Sosua but it´s close to the Laguna Beach - just be aware, it is really wavy, but it´s not so far away from the other beach or Cabarete either, you´ll just need to catch a guagua, rent a car/motorbike or ask Cristina to give you a ride. There are still some shops and other facilities in the surroundings, for example, there´s a big supermarket Super Pola not so far away where we did our souvenir shopping. And on the other, you´re not disturbed by motorbikes, vendors, prostitutes, other tourists and all various things as in the city centre - the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. She can also drive you from or to the airport for a small charge. In fact, she can arrange for almost anytthing you ask her. Sosúa is a good location from where you can explore the north coast - it´s close to Cabarete and Puerto Plata, you can also do the 27 waterfalls or laguna Gri Gri thing. We did a trip to teleférico and it was nice, it´s just important to have sunny weather to get the best view.
The only negative aspect - I must agree with other reiewers that the place is a bit hard to find - although after you book a room, Cristina sends you an e-mail with her phone number (we didn´t want to call because of the expensive roaming tariff) or instruction to ask in the local minimarket in the Laguna beach district for asking directions, which worked perfectly for us - it could be helpful to give a GPS location. I can´t remember anymore the exact street but we came from Puerto Plata on the route No. 5 and we had to turn left on the road just before the road to the Sea Horse Ranch resort (we came to the Sea Horse Ranch resort at first because that was what our navigation showed us but when we asked the guards at the gate they sent us back to the previous exit). If you take this exit, then you´ll easily find the minimarket and from there it´s the first house on the second street on the left.
All in all, we highly recommend this B&B, especially to all people who are looking for a comfortable, quiet, welcoming base from where they can explore the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. The low price and excellent cooking are, of course, a nice bonus. If you contact Cristina directly through her website, you´ll get even better price than through booking.

B&B Pavilion is everything you expect, but seldom get, when travelling. Cristina, our genial hostess, could not do enough to make our stay perfect: tea outside our door in the mornings, eggs of every description for breakfast (with homemade bread), and evening meals served with Italian flare. Hard to beat!

I had an oversize room with very good fan. I felt quite at home here. The bath room and shower were very large. Towels were provided. Christina is a kindhearted girl who tries to help travelers in any way she can. She always has breakfast ready, and can take requests for other meals also at a reasonable charge. There is a bar and tiki hut on site where the locals (foreigners) gather and share stories. I met some interesting people and look forward to seeing them when I return. Some of them live here part of the year and in another country part of the year.
Christina, I really wish you all the success and I plan to hang out at your place again. They have dinners there which are reasonable. Herbert (me) enjoyed your hospitality.
The general property owner was a real card who will keep you laughing. His wife is Dominican and a real sweet lady also.
Cabarete the village nearby is considered a nice place but B&B is handy to Sosua town, just seven to ten minutes by gua-gua van. And perfect for exploring the Scuba diving which Sosua beach has to offer.

+1
We loved staying here. It is literally a piece of heaven. So quiet, so peaceful. You are literally five minute walk. Playa Laguna is fabulous and we had the whole beach to ourselves. But the best part of this B&B is Christina. What a beautiful person and hostess. She was so kind and really makes you feel at home. It's a fabulous place.

I had the time of my life while staying at B&B Pavillon. Cristina ( the owner) is such a great person, she makes sure that you enjoy your stay from the first minute you enter the place. Breakfast was amazing ( people who woke up later got a fresh cooked breakfast as well!). The Beach was a 10 minutes walk from my room. My room was clean, enjoyed warm water to shower ( is a luxury in DR didn't have it at a hotel in another city) and the dinner which is optional was awesome as well. Guaranteed to pick this place again if I go back to DR.

Our stay at this B&B was exceptional! Location is great - a 5 minutes walk from a fantastic and quite Laguna Beach, close to the city centre and other beaches. Breakfast, coffee and other meals were just amazing! Big and delicious portions worth the money. But Cristina plays the crucial role in all of this - exceeding your expectations: she is keen, professional, kind, intelligent and will go above an beyond to make customers happy. Cristina also offers help and local information which was very useful. Oh, and the lovely dog Suzie - always greeting us in the morning and walking to the beach with us... I would greatly recommend to stay there and can't praise enough Cristina, and Francis, that made our experience at Dominican Republic unforgettable and unique! Thank you Cristina and we miss you so much!!! Kati, Ewa and Lukas

We have incredible enjoyed the warm Italian hospitality from Cristina and Luca. They invited us to participate in their everyday lives. At breakfast we had home baked bread and home made preserves. Every evening we could -if we wished- eat a hot meal with other guests. We enjoyed the cultural exchange that followed. Any language problems (Italian, Spanish, French, English, Dutch, ...) were circumvented with creative translation programs on a tablet or smartphone. We played card games, darts or we relaxed on the rocking chairs. Cristina tried to do everything to meet our requests and wishes. This bed and breakfast is located in a very quiet neighbourhood in a beautiful villa with landscaped garden and a lovely pool. Our room was very neat and tidy. 2x a week was thoroughly cleaned and towels and sheets were changed.
Thank you very, very much Cristina and Luca: you gave us a memorable vacation! We will miss this piece of paradise on earth!
