The Select portion of Casa Marina is the best adults only resort I’ve ever been to. It feels like home with amazing perks like a special restaurant you can eat at as many times as you want, premium drink options, adult only, infinity pool, and the best staff you could ever imagine! Special kudos to Francis the concierge who goes above and beyond to accommodate even the craziest of requests, the amazing bar staff who work their ass off everyday Juan, Jose, Sandy, Jael, and Harrison who make sure you always have whatever you need and make it a point to remember what you like. I come here 3 or 4 times a year and Absolutly feel like home every time. The staff make the trip that much more special.

It was a week away in the Dominican. Make sure if you go chose the Select side of resort which is the newer side and more updated. The normal side with kids is older and dated and in Canada i would rate a 1 star where as the select i would give the rooms ,grounds and general area a 3.5 star. Food was good yet monotonous at the buffet which is shared with the other side of resort. The el la cartes where very good with a nice selection on the menu every night. The pools on adult side are smaller but well kept and nice. It is a very quiet on the adult side and the service at the select side desk with Frances was awesome. He will do anything for you too make your stay comtortable. Juan by the pool and beach gets a 5 star for service and personality. Just do yourself a favor and stay on select side and expect a nice resort but not a spectacular resort . Worth going for the right price.

We spent 1 night at the Casa Marina Reed by the pool (purple wrist band) and it was not the best! People ate loud like 2 - 4am! (-1 star for this).
However, it was all changed when we moved to the SELECT area with premium ocean view the next day. Since then, our stay was perfect!! The receptionists Francis, Amal and Francesca (apologies if spelt wrong) were very nice and attended to our needs quickly. Everyone was indeed nice. Having an exclusive area. For adults only and access to the pool until 1 am was amazing since I can't really swim under the sun due to skin reactions! The room was clean including the washroom, and bed was super comfortable. The view on our balcony was just superb! Some issue like AC problem happened twice. Having a private waiter thay serves your drinks by the pool is a plus too! Unlimited drinks, snacks and food.. We also enjoyed scuba diving which we were able to book just beside the pool!
Moving to Select Area... Just Worth it!!! And won't hesitate to book here again

For a 5* adult hotel it was a very sobering experience. The room was large and mostly ok. The view is very limited. The path from the reception is not in the Adults Only part and therefore the path to this area of the hotel is very long. There is also no elevator and you have problems with your suitcases.
The restaurant for breakfast is right on the beach and it has a rich buffet. For Adults Only guests there is even sparkling wine. There are also many other advantages over the standard Casa Marina. Long drinks, wine, beer and sparkling wine are available all day long in the Adults Only area. You can also bring everything to the pool.
You can also use the specialty restaurants free of charge. But only the small international one by the pool is really good. The restaurants in the normal Casa Marina are of poor quality and the service is poor/overloaded.
Unfortunately the beach was closed throughout due to high waves. The integrated diving school is expensive and there are too many participants per course. Much better is the German diving school Merlin a few hundred meters away with very individual service.
The 3* rating is based on the deficiencies that are too severe for a 5* resort and the high price. Anyone who can book this hotel at a good rate will definitely be satisfied. It's not worth €300-500 per night for 2 people. At 100 p.p. I would definitely give 4-5* for the night and there were guests who only paid that.

We loved this resort. We stayed for ten days and had already decided to return next year for fourteen days. We had an oceanview room and the views were awesome. The room was lovely and the only issue we had was that the water temperature was unpredictable.. but we managed. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Weekends are busier as many locals will stay for a couple of days but the change was fun. Loved the Select section with the private section at the buffet, separate lobby and smaller pool for adults only . Food at the a la crate restaurants was mostly very good - we did not like the seafood restaurant as much as the others. The buffet was very good with lots of options. The beach is very nice - yellow flag every day because of waves. It also gets deep very quickly so if you can’t swim, you should be extra careful.

Cannot say enough about the excellent service, accommodations, nightly entertainment and variety of food & beverages available at this resort. Right in the heart of Sosua, you can choose a wide varieties of activities depending on your energy level and the weather. You can float in the warm waters of the onsite beach; join the fun in the sun or enjoy the quiet from one of three pool; wonder downtown to mingle with locals at restaurants and at the public beach. As in any neighbourhood, courtsey and a friendly smile is always welcome.

I love the Select side. On our first visit, me and my boyfriend fell in love with the place and the people who work there. Our next trip in January is already booked, it will be our 4th visit. The staff is amazing, they are now friends, it is like our 2nd family. Francis at the front desk meets all our needs. At the bar there are Juan, Jose, Sandy and Harrisson, they are the best!!! We never lack anything! At the buffet in the morning Fabia always welcomes us with her beautiful smile. Not to mention everyone who works at Hermann's restaurant. We are happy to see them every year! We like the location of the hotel, close to the city center. We regularly go for walks, we love the atmosphere, bars and restaurants. Not too far from Playa Sosua where we love to walk and have a drink. The rooms are perfect, Hermann restaurant is our favorite. The corner at the buffet reserved for the Select is very quiet, we appreciate it. The view of the mountains, the sunsets are spectacular. We really found our little piece of paradise!

This small part for adult only resort call Select Casa Marina was nice, clean, nice garden amazing view of the sea from our room. The food is ok better on the select side. Pool side is nice good to reserve a chair early in the morning. The staff is nice but my only negative comment is on 15 days we were only able to use the private beach once often close because of waves but the public beach beside always open. Overall it was a good place.?

Love select as Sandy, Jose, Juan and Harrison are the best. Clean rooms and service is tiptop. Love Hermann's as the staff and food are amazing. Select area for buffet makes it quiet. Small but nice beach though many beaches nearby. Within the City which makes for fun exploring. Been there many times and will be back.
