Absolutely beautiful! We rented a villa in Sea Horse Ranch for the holidays and the house and community exceeded our expectations. This is a masterfully designed community with flagstone paths throughout, security on every street, beautiful yet private beaches and pools, an incredible equestrian center, and a restaurant with absolutely delicious food and a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. It was terrific! In the past, we have rented homes where the house itself was the setting and most of the experience revolved around being at the villa or planning excursions. Not here! When you rent a villa within Sea Horse Ranch, you have an entire community to enjoy. It was never crowded and not pretentious whatsoever.
We loved our horseback riding experience at Sea Horse Ranch. It was the best we have experienced anywhere. We loved playing in the waves and collecting shells at the coves. Our kids learned to surf at nearby Playa Encuentro (look up Luciano Gonzalez at Ocean Adventures -- he is an amazing instructor, and we learned after our lesson that he is an international surfing champion!). It is about a 5 minute drive to Sosua to stock up on groceries if needed and taxis are very reasonably priced.

Our family of 8 stayed at the Sea Horse Ranch, Casa Las Brisas for a once in a lifetime family trip. In a word, the vacation was exceptional! Planning the vacation was made simple through communications with our concierge Cecilia. She was available as needed and able to answer any and all questions prior to our arrival. Cecilia arranged everything for us. From transportation to/from the airport, beaches and grocery store, to grocery delivery and taking care of minor concerns with the Villa. Casa Las Brisas met all of our expectations and more! The house was more than large enough for 5 adults and 3 children (14, 12,11). The pool did not disappoint and was large and deep enough to jump into! The grounds and pool were immaculately kept by a very kind maintenance crew. The house is equipped with everything one needs for everyday living such as towels, hand soap, fully stocked kitchen and more. Of course, groceries are required to be purchased, which is quite easily arranged for delivery if required. We shopped in the Sosua supermarket several times and found most items to be similar to our stores in Canada. Prices are quite comparable as well. We cannot say enough about our wonderful house staff Ysoile!!! What an absolute pleasure it was getting to know her. Ysoile was kind, considerate, hard working and made sure that our every need was taken care of. She made our trip extra special and even took time to teach us a little bit of Spanish. The Sea Horse Ranch grounds and amenities are bar none! Whether we were at the sea side pools or the beach club or taking a morning walk to see the horses, the grounds were immaculate and the guards were very friendly. If you are looking for a safe and secure place to vacation with your family, this is it! Sea Horse Ranch is a massive property with many amenities and things to do. We especially loved finding our way through the walking paths to the gorgeous beaches as well as lazing around the large common pools. Although we did not partake in the horse riding or some of the other options, I have no doubt that the service would be just as exceptional as everything else. Sea Horse Ranch is in very close proximity to Sosua and Cabarete, as well as the POP airport. Our drivers Susie and Luis were extremely accommodating, always on time and took very good care of us. Sadly, due to the pandemic situation, we had to cut our vacation short and fly back to Canada early. Although this was unexpected, the Sea Horse Ranch staff were very accommodating and made sure that we were safe and had what we needed before we left. Overall our stay at Sea Horse Ranch was undeniably top notch! Without a doubt, if given the chance, we will return to the Sea Horse Ranch someday! This luxurious trip was made possible not only by the lovely villa proximal to the beach with gorgeous pool/palapa and endless amenities but mainly because of the staff of amazing individuals who ensured our stay was perfect at every turn. They were what made our trip so special and a true reprieve from our usual daily grind.
First off, our concierge, Karolina Alonzo, was responsive and made planning excursions down to the smallest detail just wonderful. We asked a LOT of questions and she was always on it with a sincere smile. Our housekeepers, Ysolie and Marie Luz, were the kindest, most loving ladies who went above and beyond to make our stay fresh, tidy and just plain easy for us. If it's any indication of how much we appreciated them, I hugged them and told them I loved them as did my daughter when were leaving! Francis, our bartender, was absolutely phenomenal and a treat. He could make anything you could ever want fresh, delicious and in minutes. Such a nice person too! The chef, and forgive me but I can't remember his name, really spoiled us with meals for the kids and adults with little needed from us. Fernando, our driver for the week, was kind and acted as a guide too, which made everything we wanted to do super simple and safe..
All in all, I'd give this whole experience an A+ for the safety, beauty and amenities of the community but mostly for these individuals who showed us so much hospitality we didn't know what to do! Couldn't recommend it more. DR, we will be back!

We had dinner at the Ocean Beach restaurant on Friday, and it is a "10" location/view. We have to rate our meal a "6" or a "7". It might have been an off night, but we were disappointed in our meal.
Two of us ordered the langoustines (rock lobster) and they were served over-broiled, with the vegetables almost mushy but also having burnt edges. Two nor three minutes too long under the broiler, we decided.
The grilled fish came under a heavy sauce...almost a gravy. That isn't typical for Dominican cuisine.
The Vietnamese lettuce boats we ordered for an appetizer where spot-on.
Prices are all listed in US Dollars. No credit cards are accepted (Internet connection issues, we were told) The bill was presented in US dollars, with a peso conversion shown. We paid in pesos.
Service was good. The view is brilliant. Your meal experience might differ from ours.

We went on a group trip - 7 adults and 2 toddlers - for a week and were beyond impressed with the team at Seahorse Ranch. We started working with the concierge to book activities a couple of months before our arrival, and could tell from the prompt and organized responses that we were working with extremely polished professionals that cared about ensuring our experience was exceptional.
When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our driver at the airport and welcomed into our vacation home by the staff, which included a chef, butler / bartender and two housekeepers. This team (along with the house and of course the incredible weather) made our trip unforgettable. The level of service that was provided was beyond our expectations. They made us feel welcomed and cared for so that we could focus our time and energy on each other and our kids.

Overall a very relaxing vacation. Extremely quiet, private and secure. The entire team (Cecilia, Karolina and Jennifer) was accommodating and very responsive. Be sure to also indulge in a private chef...especially Wilfredo who takes pride in his cooking! Look forward to my return!!

I have rented horses in many countries and this is one of the best ever. The ranch is well kept, the horses are very well cared for. . The animal caretakers are kind and seem to really care about the horses. The horses were willing to run, trot at the first request by the rider. Riding in the rain forest and then along a stretch of beach was wonderful. I would highly recommend this place if you want to ride good, sturdy horses

Quite literally one of the best vacations we have ever taken! The Sea Horse Ranch accommodations are second to none. First of all, the house we rented was beautifully designed, massive, yet still felt intimate, and equipped with a beautiful pool and private beach. Cecilia, our concierge, took care of everything for us and made sure our stay was the best it could possibly be. Wilfredo, our chef was incredible and the housekeeping and grounds crew were so nice and accommodating. Sea Horse Ranch is not only a beautiful community, but also very safe. I highly recommend staying at Sea Horse Ranch, you will not be disappointed! Thank you to Cecilia and the team for an amazing vacation!

I only had experience with the Sea Horse Ranch Tennis club. Despite its name it also has one nice pickleball court. As far as I know this is the only pickleball court in the vicinity and you do not need to stay at Sea Horse to use it. You just need to make a reservation. The cost is $20 for an hour. The staff is very friendly and the court is in good condition. They have two paddles to lend out. The used pickleballs they had are not in good shape.

What a beautiful, well maintained property this is. We had lunch at the restaurant and the view was spectacular! Our meals were very good, the service excellent and the prices reasonable. We made a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day and are excited to return.
