Detailed Reviews
I had a great time staying here. The room was spacious and clean. The big ceiling fan keeps the place nice and cool and the staff are friendly and acoommodating. Its very close to everything so thats a plus and because its close to bars and the main road, there is some noise espcially during the weekend. Aside from that, i really enjoyed the place and would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is located in a quiet area of Sosua. Within walking distance of playa Alicia beach and Sosua beach. There are several restaurants and small convenient stores close by as well. The hotel doesn't offer air conditioning and most of the room's have kitchens. Next door is a restaurant as well. The rooms are clean and the wifi work's well. The pool is well maintained and is cleaned daily. The onsite manager is really nice and helpful. The property is gated for guest using a fob to enter. Well maintained property and I believe it's currently being renovated room by room. Would stay there again.

Nice hotel with attractive pool area. Nice large room, with small kitchenette and with small balcony. The sink in the bathroom completely loose. Very useful with caution. Good location to restaurants, beaches. Directly at the hotel a small breakfast restaurant with local prices.

Although the staff is nice and the rooms are clean, there is a bar directly across the street that plays annoying boom-base music until 5:00 in the morning. The bar across the street caters to old European men, so there are harlots and loud motorcycles coming and going all night long. If you want to sleep, you will need to take some pills.

Good: Clean, fair price, location and nice staff
Not good: THE NOISE!!! Slamming doors, parties, screaming at night from drunk people, the staff shouting at each other as early as 7h30am, the kitchen chairs and beds sliding on the floors making a ''train like"" noise that resonates as far away as 3 floors up and down. Really frustrating if you like to sleep during your vacation.

I stayed there for 8 days in a studio. The room was spacious and clean, with a ceiling fan, that kept the room temperature nicely cool (but not too much, so i didn't catch a cold).
The fridge came in very handy as I stored drinks (in the concierge you can buy a barrel of water for a little cash) and lunch leftovers in it.
The balcony with a view over the hotel and its nice garden is great during noon, in the morning and evening I advise you to use a repellent to shield yourselves from the hungry mosquitos.
In the backyard there´s a 20 m long swimming pool in which you can swim till 10PM.
Kudos to the hotel manager, David, who knows, where to go for the best lunch, where to exchange money with the best rate, where are the nice beaches, what trip to go for, and where do they have the best mamajuana.
I really enjoyed the stay in Hotel Checo Sosua, everything you might need is in a walking distance from the hotel – beaches, restaurants or supermarkets.
I highly recommend staying in this hotel.
