I am not sure if the people who have rated their experience dealt with the same people I dealt with. The people whose unit I rented were Canadian-Americans and their unit was awesome. Not only were they beautiful people they were very helpful with ensuring that I understood the cultural environment. The apartment was within walking distance of everything including restaurants, grocery stores, bars, nightlife, and more. I encountered no small children in or around the pool while I was relaxing. There was only one thing that could have made the experience better and that would have been the price. "Oh wait," ..................never mind, because the price was great too.

I found this apartment hotel better than expected. Our apartment was very spacious and clean -and we loved the staff! They were very friendly, humorous and helpful! Good breakfasts, beautiful pool area and even good dinner served from the restaurant across the street. Surprisingly you could drink tab water here since they have their own water purification system in almost every apartment. Only negative thing is that there's lot's of sex tourism in Sosua, and that is why you could not avoid from it even in this apartment hotel, unfortunately. That is why next time I'll take B&B or rented apartment in Cabarete, which is much nicer place to stay and hang around! But if you stay in Sosua, I warmly recommend this place. Club Residencial.

A complex of more or less 50 apartments (only one bedroom). There are 2 beds in the bedroom + a sofa that can be converted into a bed in the sitting room. Very clean and secure place, central, with a a small kitchen with everything you need, cable TV, Wifi, 2 swinmming pools (not very large but large enough to have fun and to refresh from the sun (take care, they are surrinded by palm trees and in "winter" the water is bamn cold!!). I'll be back there in the summer.

I was there with my wife for 2 weeks. I am living in Sosua but I will never go there again. First of all it is very expensive because there are a lot of other appartments bigger and much cheaper. The street is very noisy at the side we where living. I am not a cheap guy but we had to pay 50 usd for these 2 weeks for the electricity without airco. A friend of mine who wanted airco had to pay 100 usd before getting in. After his 2 weeks he had to pay a total of 185 usd for what he used on electricity. Asking the recepcioniste she said because of using a planta they charge 12 pesos an kw/h and the company ( edenorte ) only charge 2,8 pesos for a kw/h. I only used in these 2 weeks a refrigiator, 2 fans and the tv and not even been the whole day in the apartment. Only from 6 or 7 pm until 9 am. Now I am living in another apartment and my bill is only 11 usd for the whole month!! My advise: when you go there be shure you have a lot of money for the electricity bill or ask before you get there. Also, the internet connecion what didn't work in my apartment. You need to go downstairs by the pool for a very slow connecion. No they won't see me there again!!

As a solo traveler, I've stayed at Club Residential 3 times over the past 6 years. Each time I returned, it seemed that the apartments were in slightly worse condition, in spite of renovations in the more expensive units, which were more than $75/night with AC. As another reviewer mentioned there are much better values (i.e. better units @ better prices) to be had all over Sosua, although I don't think it's appropriate to start mentioning them here.
Beatrice, the German owner and her front desk Dominicana (Yessica?) are very restrictive about most things that might involve better customer service and will nickel and dime you at every opportunity, in my case, for a lock box that didn't really work as it should...and will blame you, as they did me, when my porch door didn't lock properly. While I could be very wrong, it seems that neither of them really enjoys the work...or maybe they're "burned out" from doing it for too long! Not customer friendly to say the least!
Like I've said, it's not a "bad" place, just not worth it when there are better places to be had all over town. Do some research and you'll find them! On the other hand, there are some reviewers who found CR quite wonderful. Just not me!

I stayed here for a week, 2 great pools and a bar that serves great breakfast and drinks for a reasonable price. The hotel is close to everything...3 different beaches, restaurants and clubs!!!

Ate breakfast here (Charlie's Bar) Service was abismal. It took forever to even be served and the toast which was part of and included in the meal was brought after we had finished. Some pretty shady characters staying at this hotel, not exactly what you would call upscale, so all in all a horrible experience, albeit quite a pretty setting with tropical vegetation around the pool. .

Very nice place to stay in sosua The management are great very good service from the staff . very close to everything beach, market, club, etc you are in the heart of the action.with 2 pools you can enjoy yourself as a couple or with friends. The rooms and the location are very clean. Great security a lot of returns guests. I really enjoyed my time overthere great for family and people how likes privacy. Oh by way if you want to have BBQ with friends by your food they have the installation

My 3rd time staying at this place its a convenient place to stay, great water pressure, secure, clean and priced right. not easy to find the right place in Sousa that's all of the above, is where i stay when in the area.

The place it`s a little bit noisy because of the loud music coming from the cars on the street, but after a few days you will ignore them.The flats are very clean are very well taking care of.Pool it`s nice, right there in front of your room, at the begining water was cold but after it was great.The neighbours are very nice, a few of them are owning the little flats and they are very happy about it.There a few markets close by, and you can cook yourself in the flat, they have everyhing there.We had a great time and I would like to thank them again for their hospitality.We had a great week at Club Presidencial, it`s worth it going there.
