I had a great, relaxing stay at Kitewind Apartahotel in Cabarete. Location - Close to town (can walk) and right on the beach. Near restaurants (there is an excellent Italian spot on site) and bars. Near kiteboarding schools. Fast internet, Hot water, Clean and secure. Lots of different options. The owner is a very nice guy and the staff is friendly and accommodating. 100% recommend.

We were there last july, we stayed in a wide 3 bedrooms appartment, rooms are very comfortable and the air conditioned working properly. The kitchen is basic, the balcony allow to dry the wet colthes from the beach. The Hotel is not straight to the beach but is very close, probably 2 min walking. At the beach there is probably one of the good and best restaurant in Cabarete with a wonderful view. The administrator of the complex is a very nice person, always present and very helpful. One of the most important kite school is also right on the beach and apparently is the best location as well for kite. Quality versus price is a 5 star.

This is a great place. In a pretty good location. It’s only a 5-8 minute walk to the main Beach Restaurants in Cabarete. And then only 8 km ride to Encuentro Surf break. I rented a pasola for the two months I was here and that made it easy to get back and forth to the surf break. But you can also take the local Gua Gua for 50 pesos. Or a moto taxi for 200 pesos.
The room was clean, main bed was comfortable. Pull out couch for my guests was comfortable. There was always hot water working for the shower. They send in cleaning staff 2x per week to tidy the room and change the bed sheets/towels and re-stock supplies like toilet paper, soap, shower gel etc. they empty the garbages etc.
In my room there were two air conditioners. One in the main bedroom which worked. And one in the living room/kitchen area which didn’t work. But, to be honest the second really wasn’t needed. It never got too hot within the apartment.
I was on the main floor and on two occasions I had a Spider in the room I had to catch and release, and also 1 large cockroach in which I killed. I think they came in while the cleaning staff left my room door open while cleaning. After mentioning this to the staff, the cleaning staff was then diligent about closing my room door while cleaning and I never had another issue after that in the two months I was there.
The hotel at one time in January was also doing some construction work behind my unit. And was smashing concrete. I was trying to work and sleep and this was bothering me. I mentioned my concern to the office staff Trini stating I was there for vacation, rest and relaxation. And she was able to have that construction work halted for me during my stay. I found this was absolutely wonderful of them to do this. And was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this place if you are staying for a short or long stay. It’s close to everything. It’s clean, safe and secure. And it’s not too crazy expensive. As some places can be outlandishly expensive here.
I would definitely stay again when I come back.

OK, wouldn't recommend. We booked this place so we could cook during our month long visit to Cabarete. There is no microwave. The fridge is small and dorm style. We never tried to keep anything frozen. The pots and pans were too large to be able to use both burners at the same time. No coffee maker or toaster. We rarely had hot water. If you want hot water shower early. If you have a room up near the road it will be noisy. Internet was not fast enough to work. Consistently dropped for zoom calls. The pool was murky and never clear. The folks at the front desk were friendly and tried to help. We asked for a few kitchen items that they were available to provide.

Estuvimos alojados en el fin de semana pasado en este hotel y solo nos resta decir que supero nuestras expectativas. Todo esta excelentemente cuidado y limpio, las camas muy confortables, las atenciones del personal muy buenas, cuenta con parqueo y seguridad. También pasamos un excelente tiempo en el área de la piscina y el restaurante. Esta a pocos pasos por la playa para llegar al centro de Cabarete. Tiene wifi. Esta 100% recomendado.

Удобное местоположение. Комнаты чистые, хорошая ванная комната. Есть выход к пляжу через отель. На пляже много баров, рядом есть продуктовые магазины. Рядом есть школа кайты и серфа, но цены высокие. Есть парковка!

We would definitely recommend KiteWind apartamentos as a very nice place to stay in Cabarete. Good swimming pool with depth 30-152cm, clean and tidy rooms and area, nice sandy beach, friendly staff and very delicious Italian restaurant BeachSide (not listed on tripadvisor, but definitely worth visiting!- great value for money, proper place both to have a breakfast or to celebrate anniversary , not crowded, with ocean view and great music). Thank you for time of our lives.

Muy buena relacion precio / beneficio. La habitacion fue muy comoda y limpia. Las atenciones tambien son muy buenas. Tiene parqueo incluido, lo que es muy importante en cabarete, que muchos alojamientos no tienen estacionamiento. El wifi no esta incluido.
Muy bueno para pasar una o dos noches. Hay un restaurante, pero no tuvimos la oportunidad de visitarlo.
