After experiencing the north coast of puerto plata, cabarete, and sosua for the last 5 years I have some experience staying at an array of lousy inexpensive crappy hotels. But after reading the reviews of Barefoot I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. Ben and Evelyn took care of me like family. They were excellent from...

Barefoot Beach Pad's new management couple were really, really nice - responsive to everything we asked about Cabarete, and had beers and margaritas at the ready. The room we stayed in had a stove so we made our own coffee every morning, which was nice because the hotel is about 3 miles outside of town. This makes for a nice...

The manager, Hector, replied quickly to all our question via email, picked us at the airport which is way cheaper then a taxi cost, provided us with all the info about the town and was very helpful with everything. He's fluent in English and Spanish, which is really convenient for non-Spanish speaking people. The hotel's location is in the end...

We wanted to spend New Years Eve in Cabarete, and found a treasure in the Barefoot Beach Pad! Hector, our host, is a Native New Yorker with personality plus and great tips for travel around the local area. The BBP was sparkly clean, comfortable and very well appointed (AWESOME hot showers!) with an EXCELLENT location steps from the beach and...

This is the first review we have written when not staying at a resort. During the booking process we had several questions about this resort. We sent a couple of emails and made some calls. The owners and management were quick, friendly and courteous with their responses. They offered assistance without us needing to ask and gave us terrific service...
