We spent a night here before catching the early morning shuttle to Guatemala (via Belize). It Was clean and comfortable with a nice outdoors area, although on the whole the hotel felt rather jaded. When we walked along the main street of Chetumal that night we passed another hotel called Los Cocos which appeared to be more modern and we... More

This Holiday Inn served our purposes well. I have to admit that we chose it for its convenient location across the street from the Museum of the Mayans. The museum is great. The hotel was OK - nice buffet breakfast, comfortable, if somewhat noisy room, nice pool. The fellow at the desk directed us to a restaurant a few blocks... More

Lovely room (jr suite) although no mini bar as advertised. The pool area is an enclosed courtyard that has been overun by 2 separate children's events on 2 consecutive days. I guess they pay for the use but none cares about paying guests who cannot have a siesta much less enjoy the pool they have paid for as well. Nothing... More

The hotel " was the best in town " according to lonely planet . And it is true that the location is great , the beds comfortable and the A/C works. What dissapointed me is the unhelpful and unintrested staff in the lobby . We arrived after a delay at 1.30 a.m. We had to settle the bill there and... More

Stayed in Chetumal the evening before our departure to Belize. The Holiday Inn was a great location for being near food and shopping options. It was so hot we didn't explore much beyond that. The a/c in the room worked well, the bed was possibly the most comfortable sleep in Mexico I've had in a long time. They actually had... More

Since Chetumal has a Sam's Club Warehouse AND a Wal-Mart, it is a great place to shop for those of us who live in Belize. It's about a 200 mi. run, but well worth it! This particular Holiday Inn is well maintained, and well staffed. It has a secure parking lot also, so no need to worry about theft ,... More

We live in Belize and were looking for a quick getaway weekend, so we chose Chetumal. Not wanting to go the budget route, we decided to splurge a little and stay at one of the nicer hotels in downtown. We chose the Holiday Inn because of its central location, wifi, pool, onsite restaurant and bar, free parking, and a business... More

I actually stayed here a couple of years ago, but did so two different times. I had no complaints at all and liked the location of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was very nice as well!

Use to stay here a few years ago but hotel was well worn . Just spent a day there and has improved a lot. Rooms upgraded would recommend again. Great price too.
