Went for a superb festival there (songkhla). It was a very crowded event and we chose to stay in VL hotel. We followed tour on this trip and hence it's clear that VL hotel has regular trip for tour package, which might not be suitable for those backpackers. (If you prefer a "lower" dense accomodation) By the way, overall was...

Hotel is walking distance to Lee Garden Plaza (~5min) where you can find halal restaurants nearby. Parking is opposite hotel (open&secured). Room and toilet are clean. Kiblat provided for muslim. Twin super single bed fits 3 adult. According to reception, breakfast served was halal (not sure whether it's certified). Lots of tv channel (local and international). Wifi is good (stayed...

It is within walking distance to the tourist place. 10minutes to Lee Garden Plaza, Central Plaza and Odean Plaza. 5minutes to Kim Yong market. 5minutes to nearby 7 eleven. 5minutes to morning market around Kim Yong market. You can really find all the nuts at a cheaper price here (if you are hunting for one of those).

I have read the review on tripadvisor to not take the rooms facing the road due to the noise. I stayed in the highest floor and not facing the main road. I think they have revamped the room previously, although the building looks old from the outside but the room is clean, tidy and everything else are in a good...

I had read reviews and requested for a room that does not face the road (which is a busy intersection). They gave us a room on the top (12th) floor facing the railway tracks (you can still hear the train on the hour early mornings), which was clean and reasonably comfortable and had a small balcony. Breakfast was nothing special...

Decent hotel though the beds for the executive double room was small. A queen bed at most. Room was basic but clean and relatively comfortable. But noise from the traffic outside can be a problem for the light sleeper. Location is pretty central. Short walk from the Lee Garden. Market and lots of food just around the corner.

Stayed 2 nights in Tower room. Room is huge at the edge that we got panoramic view for the Main Street. KimYong market is right opposite. Lee Garden is not " as near " as most comments read. Tuk tuk is available all time long. However, the room is so noisy with traffic almost all night long. We don't get...
