Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very good welcome a very nice team. An ideal place that offers you beautiful rooms large and clean. I thanks you again for sending me my forgotten clothes. Only five minutes from the town. I highly recommend.

Nice rooms, friendly staff. All in all, a good value for the low per-night rate. A bit lacking in charm, and catering mainly to Asian travelers, but clean and comfortable. Good A/C, hot water, fridge, and very spacious rooms. Great view from the upper floors. A bit tricky to find on Google maps.

It's hard to fault this hotel too much as it pretty much does what it says on the tin. I guess we just found it a little bland. Our room was lovely, bright and airy, we were on the top floor and had a great little table and chairs just outside offering a nice enough view of the area. There was aircon, a tv ( that we couldn't get to work, but I suspect user error) and a lovely bathroom with a great hot shower. There was a fridge and a mini bar. The staff were helpful enough, but not the friendliest we've come across whilst travelling. Breakfast was disappointing, little choice and what there was wasn't great. The hotel itself is situated a small walk from town which was fine during the day, but a little less convenient at night, especially in the low season with fewer taxis around.

This was our second stay. Good and nice hotel for the right price. Big room, good bed. Some chairs to sit. Big refrigerator in the room. Staff is friendly. Would have liked a coffeemaker in the room. Breakfast simple but ok.

Lovely rooms. Directed us to the Honda garage to hire a bike and went to waterfalls nearby (told not to hire from anywhere else, as the bikes aren't good). Told us where the good food places are, like Ray's bikes and hamburgers and Casa Mia's. Not the best English, but used Google's translate on the reception computer to communicate. Hidden gem before hitting Burma!

I travel quite a bit in Thailand and generally stay in moderately priced hotels and guest houses in the 600-800 baht range. This hotel was a real find because it is new, super clean and well appointed, and at 800 baht a genuine bargain. The comfortably furnished room has a large kitchen area with a stone counter-top and sink, water boiler, and fridge, strong fast wi-fi, power outlets everywhere, quiet a/c and a luxurious large bathroom. Others have remarked on the breakfast which was adequate but could stand some improvements like fresh coffee and eggs cooked to order. However, as a general rule the breakfast you'll get in a Thai guest house is not worth bothering with, white bread and maybe some fruit, but the breakfasts here are decent. I had khao tom one day (aka:"joke") and it was quite good. I had a tasty fried rice dish the other day. Both breakfasts also offered toast with real butter and jam, chilled orange juice, fruit and fried eggs. The staff was courteous to a fault, the large room and bath spotlessly clean, the semi-rural location very quiet. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Mae Sot.

Situated about 5 minutes drive from town (walkable if necessary) and in a semi rural location with views across a disappearing open landscape. Built a couple of years ago the hotel has 20 rooms. The spacious and clean room I had on the 3rd floor came with a fridge (limited drinks stocked), kettle with complimentary tea/coffee, TV, and an attached bathroom (shower only with lack lustre power!) Small restaurant 20 metres from the main hotel served an adequate breakfast. Improvements could be made by supplying fresh rather than powered milk and hot, rather than cold fried eggs, which had been cooked earlier in the morning and left under a fly cover. Staff were friendly and helpful but limited in English. Wifi initially rather intermittent but then rebooted and worked better. Hotel was quiet and had a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.

Situated out of Mae Sot up a small road off the main highway that goes to the Airport and also a large Tesco Lotus supermarket. The rooms are large, if basic, the beds firm but comfortable. They are immaculately clean with air conditioning and a kettle provided. Breakfast was a bit basic and, although we stayed 2 nights, the room was not cleaned or the linen changed. The staff are very friendly but do not speak English. Wifi was free and good. However it is too far out of town to walk and the hotel does not provide any transport Not far from the hotel is a car rental service, Rujira Car Rent (rujira_tom@hotmail.com) situated on the left hand side of the main highway going to the border, who were very helpful and delivered the car to the hotel and at the end of the rental delivered us back to the airport all in the very reasonable price of 1,000 bht per day.
