Wonderful place, pleasant mood. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Staff is very kind, with good knowledge of English language. They are refugees from Myanmar; in general there is high attention to the social aspects of running a business Stefano (Italy)

We stayed at the Picturebook for one night during a road trip around Northern Thailand. I travel frequently to Mae Sot for work and colleagues had recommended this guest house. Staff (who are in a hospitality training program) are friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, great AC, fridge, and reliable WiFi. I’ve previously stayed at the Centara, and the staff here and experience far exceeded what I’ve had there! There was a bustling night market 200m from the hotel, and you’re a short distance to the Robinson/mall if you need to stock up before your next stop. Will be glad to stay here again in the future.

This is the second time we have stayed here the previous visit was two years ago. The reception staff are very pleasant and welcoming. We found the room to be very comfortable. They have got the basics spot on. Security, Air con, Comfy beds and a great bathroom ! All excellent. Despite some other claims we found the location ideal there are restaurants within a short walk along with ATMS massage and bars so met all our needs. The Breakfast was very good eggs done very well and staff are happy to supply extra toast and coffee without hesitation our additional charge! We would highly recommend this place a view which was endorsed by some other travellers from UK and Australia who were working there on NGO projects.Highly recommended !

I reviewed this small guest house last year and I am pleased to say there are new curtains with black out linings in the rooms . Again it proved to be an oasis in hot temperatures with air con and fridge in our room. The staff are obliging and always. Smiling and we ordered several taxis through reception which came promptly. Also the garden area has had plenty of work done since our last visit and a small car pull in has been made. Breakfasts are more than adequate fruit, muesli or choice of eggs and toast . If we come out to Mae Sot in 2020 we will certainly stay in PB. One of our colleagues stayed at a hotel favoured by NGOs and there seemed to be cockroaches about, never seen any livestock in PB and always clean.

Location not idea, hard to get a taxi and don’t really hav food around. Stuff is not helpful and extremely slow. Room is comfortable but with the isolated location and unhelpful stuff it’s really not worth staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at picture book! The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was lovely with a reasonable choice. The staff were kind and helpful. Towels were changed every 3 days or so which we felt was enough. The location is slightly out of town but there are lots of great places to eat around the hotel and the nearest 7-11 was 5 minutes away! The gardens are lovely and every room has a spacious balcony to sit out on. There are quite a lot of mosquitoes around but the staff can lend you a buzzer bat to get rid of any in your room or on your balcony. Only small negatives were that one if the windows at the back of the room didn't have a curtain and sometimes an outside light was left on making it a bit light in the room, our shower was only hot when it was on a lower power and as the power went up went colder and the tap in one room was very weak. Overall we loved our stay though and would definitely stay again!…

Calm, relaxing and quiet! PictureBook guesthouse was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Mae Sot! It was a tranquil little place to relax, sleep, get some much needed work completed and enjoy great food only minutes from the busy life of the border town of Mae Sot. A few friends and I stayed here for a few nights to decompress from some work events, and we loved it! Clean rooms, great A\C and comfortable beds. Gorgeous landscaping with trees, flowers and water fountains. I will definitely be booking another room here when coming to Mae Sot. Incredibly friendly staff and service was amazing. Thanks PB guesthouse, can’t wait to visit again.

Great stay at The Picturebook Guesthouse! I was especially excited to stay here when I learned The PB Guesthouse is more than just a guesthouse. It has a vision - it's a social enterprise generating new employment, apprenticeship and training opportunities to respond to the growing need for employment and employability of Mae Sot youth. Each room has a unique minimalist design crafted by one of the local enterprise's partners. I stayed in the Treetop Room - very comfortable. I was also able to meet some of the young adults who are being upskilled through their apprenticeships. The manager, Chalalai, personally greeted me when I came down to breakfast and shared about the enterprise. If you want to stay in a comfortable and excellently managed facility, stay here. You'll also be making a difference in the lives of some very polite and worthy young adults. Well done!…

A stayed at picture book for 4 weeks while on my medical elective. I really loved my stay here, the guesthouse has a wonderful family feel and breakfast is great! I really liked the pancakes and scrambled eggs! The coffee is also amazing! The staff went above and beyond to help me book/organise things - from taxis to elephant trips! It really was fantastic that they could help me hire a motorbike from a reliable provider while I stayed there. The guesthouse is really close to Robinson’s, the big mall in Mae Sot which was really useful. The bathroom was en suite and always lovely and clean. Western style toilets! As well as this, the beds were super comfy! I had a wonderful balcony which was great to work/read/watch the rain from! All of the rooms have different themes which is so cute, I stayed in the tree top room. The attention to detail was magnificent. Being able to order food in and get laundry done was also a fantastic service. I can’t thank the staff at picture book enough for my wonderful stay - I couldn’t recommend staying here more, if you ever find yourself in Mae Sot!…
