I was here with a group of 30 girls for an overnight! PERFECT! Lots of little spots for people to hang out in. Beautiful garden areas everywhere. Good food! Clean and well cared for. Nice pool. Hope to come back again someday.

We came to Mae Sot for a trek to Thee Lor Sue waterfall with Max one tours (highly recommend!). We needed somewhere to stay for a night before our trek and after and Wattana was the perfect choice. We got a 4 hour mini bus from Sukhothai to one of the bus stations in the town. The only option for us to get to Wattana was by motorbike taxi so if you have suitcases you may find this difficult! The language barrier was a little tricky but when we showed any of the locals the name of the hotel they seemed to know where we wanted to go and were very kind and helpful organizing the motorbikes.

We didn't book but there were many cheap options available for us, and we chose the cabin for a very reasonable 750 bhat. It has a very nicely kitted room, albeit a little bit of a retro look but clean and cosy! There is a large swimming pool and a restaurant on sight. The restaurant was a highlight - especially the pineapple rice! Very cheap and an amazing menu. We found that the hotel was filled with the kindest Thai people we met on our entire holiday. They were extremely helpful despite the language barrier helping us phone our tour guide and also looking after our bags while we were trekking. There is also an included breakfast which serves lots of toast and juice.

They also helped organize transport for us to get to the bus station to get us to Bangkok saving us from another motorbike taxi journey! Great hotel, lovely people.

Stayed once again at Wattana Village Resort following a several month closure they had; and all was pretty much as previous stays. Room, breakfast etc was very good and most staff were fantastic; I did have a minor problem with one of the male staff that I will not elaborate on and the matter was later explained to me by management.

We have visited here several times and found it used to be a perfect get-away, but this time as we walked to our room, we noticed that the pool was green. Upon closer inspection, we could not see to the bottom even in the shallow end. When we got to our room the walls were so thin that the people in the next room sounded like they were in our room. The staff was gracious to move us to another section, and we saw it was quite run-down compared to earlier stays. There was a table fan in the room, and the air conditioner did not work. We did not complain because it was cool enough that day. The restaurant had not changed, and the buffet breakfast is still great. The staff was friendly, but not the same people or the same place we once knew. We could not use the pool, and the scenery and the noise around us was not very restful.

Nice place once you find it. It is kinda hard if you don't read Thai. If you are going there arrive during the day. At night it gets more difficult. GPS can help you. I really don't know how to get there if we didn't rent a car. I didn't see any area for public transport.

It is a nice place with what looks like log cabins. Great garden and swimming pool. Also there is a small playground for the kids to play with.

Rooms are simple but they work. You got aircon and a hot shower. That works for me.

The breakfast is your typical Thai hotel breakfast. If you don't eat Thai breakfast they have bread and eggs, but not much more.

The rest of the food is pretty good.

Wattage Village Resort is a wonderful escape from the business of a bustling town. I stayed there 5 years ago and again this week. If anything the grounds and facilities are even better now. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a meal for 8 people and the food and service was amazing. A big thank you to the manager (Gik) for a wonderful stay. I'll definitely be back at Wattana Village Resort in the future.

It was good value. I am just back from a trip to Mae Sot where without pre-booking I wanted to stay at Centara Hotel; but they were full. I drove to Wattana Village only to see the gate all boarded up.I enquired in the little shop opposite the gate where I was told they had closed down as of last year, no reason known.Very sorry to see that.

The pool, spacious grounds and chalets make for a pleasant stay. We caught a tuktuk from the airport for 200 baht and a half hour drive to a village in the countryside. We found our greeting a bit blase but after that the staff were friendly. The resort hosts groups for conferences but the place didn't seem crowded. The food on site is ok, but I strongly recommend visiting the small family cafe across the road.

Excellent bungalow accomodation. Very friendly and helpful staff despite limited English. Excellent restaurant serving quality food at low prices. We will always stay here when in Mae Sot. Only downside is distance from the town which did not affect us as we had a car.
