Stayed in this hotel for a night part of a tour group. Was given the suite but music from the bar on the upper floor could be heard in our room. Room ambience was spooky the only good point was the sunrise view

We stayed at the marremons for two nights during a trip to Sokcho in October 2011. On a positive side, the rooms with a suite are spacious and have a lovely view of the sea. On the negative, the decor is very old and in a need of a good clean. I joked with my family it was like a...

I went to South Korea by joining a travel agency tour. We stayed in this hotel. I love their lobby's Italian's furniture. Our purpose was only to stay for the night. The breakfast buffet was sumptous! It consists of Korean, American, Chinese food. Since we already arrived in this hotel at night, there is not much to see. The road...

Stayed 2N here but non-smoking room is unavailable. I saw the same dead cockroaches beside the bed from the day I checked in til checked out. This means the carpeted floor is not being vacuumed. This explains why the room is so dark. It's autumn so they switched off the main aircon. Therefore the room is kinda stuffy. Mattress is...

We booked our rooms directly by emailing the hotel. Response time was reasonable and efficient. We were traveling from Seoul by bus and arrived at the express bus terminal in sokcho. Once you arrive at the express bus terminal, just walk towards the main road, cross the road and wait at the nearby bus stop. Wait for bus no. 1,...

Stayed here for a weekend as part of a trip to Soraksan. We had a translator, so we didn't seem to experience language barriers, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. My favorite thing about this hotel is it's coastal location and I spent hours wandering the seafood market just a little bit up the road. If...

This hotel was booked for me so it may be the best available but I will seek elsewhere next time. Overall the place seems dated and worn. Air conditioning worked for a few hours on one day out of three in hot humid weather. Only about half the electronic controls for lights etc. worked. No WIFI available in hotel and...

Stayed here for 1 night in August as part of my trip to Seoul, stayed here because we scheduled a day of activities in Soraksan and did not want to go back to Seoul for the night. Nothing surprising about th is hotel, while generally clean, it doesn't have much facilities and the staff really can't help you much due...

The location of this hotel is ok as it's within walkable distance to the fish market. Room is clean and large although there are weird facilities such as (a) an in-room PC is offered for free use but the system file is missing; (b) there's a separate guest toilet with a corner vanity; the taps are round but both the...

“If travelling alone, be prepared to do some homework and asking front desk for Korean destination in writings so that you are able to show that note to the taxi or any person you may want to seek help. Very few Koreans speak English and some times you find that young people like students can speak and understand better if spoken at slower pace, Room facing the hill are much quieter than the one facing the sea. Staying at 9floor, we need to open smaller windows for cool air intake, no air-cond needed. All rooms and toilets are big and kettle for boiling water is available.”
