Visited the Resort for an escape after the work. The location is about a mile away from the town market and can be reached without any problem regarding the location . Mr. Jha, the Manager of the place is very generous and friendly and also managed us cycle to wonder around in free of cost. The food was good and very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and tidy along with bathroom with all the necessary amenities. Overall the stay experience was good, and much better than expected. Would recommend anyone for a best

Namaste ! I have been in BARDIA and NEPAL WILDLIFE RESORT on last 2019 april and it was a very great experience. You can manage your trip from KATHAMNDU with SHIVA RAJ CHILASE whose office is in THAMEL. He will help you to book your bus or fly ticket and the car from NEPALGUNJ to BARDIA too. The resort is very quiet and well located. You can go by foot to THAKUDWARA and to the PARK entrance too. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom with hot water too. The staff there they are all very nice and they do the best to help you. You can eat for example some very tasty dal bhat! And off course, if you go in BARDIA it’s to go in the jungle to try and see elephant, rhinoceros and tiger. Me I was very lucky to see these beautiful wild animals. But it's also thanks to JALBAHADUR the guide of NEPAL WILDLIFE RESORT. I was very happy to meet JAL because he’s a very professional and is a very kind and caring man. A big thank you JAL for all the things you did and always with the smile. I hope to come back one day. I wish a good continuation for WILDLIFE RESORT and for JAL. (Nadine from France)

This was my second visit to Nepal Wildlife Resort. I had a great stay there last year and so I decided to return again this year. The rooms are tidy and the beds are comfortable. Very quiet at night so plenty of quality rest. And every room comes with its own gecko! ;) The customer service is where I found Nepal Wildlife Resort excelled. The staff is the best in the world, especially the manager Jal Bahadur. From the first greeting at the front gate to the farewell at the airport, he was always there with a friendly smile and a genuine interest to be helpful and hospitable. The cook was always serving up plenty of fantastic culinary delights. And at all meals, I was always greeted and served with a big smile. All the staff are very helpful and nice. They made sure my stay was pleasant and memorable. I can't rate them high enough. I genuinely appreciate the resort's wildlife viewing philosophy of time and patience... Jal is the perfect example of this philosophy put into practice. We were rewarded each day with tiger sightings. We also saw many rhinos, a herd of elephants, spotted and swamp deer, mugger crocodiles, an eagle, kingfishers, parakeets... Next time I visit Nepal, I will take Jal as my trekking guide in the mountains! ;) He can teach them how to properly guide and appreciate nature. It is so difficult to find a good guide in Kathmandu who understands your wildlife viewing philosophy. All things considered, I had another great stay at NWR. Nothing to complain about.

I had the chance to visit twice Bardiya and its preserved National Park, for long term projects, and I came back to Nepal Wildlife Resort, one of the most genuine in this whole area. First thanks to its owner, Shiva Raj Chalise, who created a little paradise (the garden is such a peaceful place to spend time reading or organizing your next trip), and hired a very competent and friendly staff. These people are really, really nice ! The manager, Jalbahadur, will answer to your desires before you even ask, though sometimes it may be hard to be understood as their english is far from perfect, but just repeat and be patient and you'll get anything you want... with a smile on their faces. The rooms are always clean and quite confortable, you even get hot water, which I can tell you is not that often in this area. The cook makes both local food and some western specialties like french fries (finger chips) or omelette, and does it very well, you will never be disappointed with him. Finally, there are very good nature guides who can organize you a day trekking or more inside the National Park (which entrance is 5mins away) or in the many traditional villages around, for very good prices. I strongly advice one or two days walking in the national park with one of the guides, the best way to experience nature in its splendor and silence. Also to go check the Dalla village, 15 mins away by car, or 30 mins by bicycle, to meet one of the most greeting Tharu community. You'll get to see their traditional dances (which can also be arranged in Nepal Wildlife) and see their traditionnal homes. You may even spend a night in The Tree House, 20 mins walking from Dalla village, to experience sleeping among wild animals, but safe ;) As you can see, I highly recommend this resort for all these reasons. Best way to be close to nature and traditional ethnic groups. And this resort is like their traditional meal, the "Dal Bhat" : the more you experience it, the more you like it.
