We stopped here for some food and refreshment after a long walk from Dhulikhel (it shouldn't be a long walk, but we went the wrong way). Although we weren't staying at the resort they were accommodating, if a little confused that we had just turned up out of nowhere before lunch service. We were told the kitchen wasn't open, but...

There is little to really complain about at Namobuddha - the views are gorgeous, the food was some of the best we had on the trip, and the cottages/grounds were cute. Also - Belgian beer! So welcomed after a few weeks of Nepali beer. I think the main reason we knocked off points, is that it felt a little contrived...

We thought we were never getting there and when the tarmac road ran out I did have my doubts however, these were quickly changed as we parked the minibus and got out to such fresh air! After watching the luggage being transported to our cottage on top of the porter's head we followed - please note this is no place...

Nambuddha Resort is at the end od a terrible road. Altough we were used to Nepalese roads, this was one of the worst. But the Resort can not help that. You have to walk several stairs to reach te main building. Luckely thay have all bannisters, so easy to climb. On your way up you pass te small, cute looking...

After 3 trekkings we could easily have stayed a week or more at this relaxing resort. Organic, well prepared food, attentive staff, clean cottages (they have small and medium sized. The latter comes with attached bathroom) and a large well kept garden with plenty of little comfortable corners to sit in the sun or in the shadow. Oh, nearly forgot...

Based on a hilltop about 2 hours drive from Kathmandu, this resort offers a great escape from the city. German run, the resort consists of a number of stone houses based on the traditional style but combined with the luxury of heaters (it gets chilly at night in winter) and comfortable furnishings. The medium cottage has it's own bathroom with...

The road is bad but it was worth it! Lovely view, small but nice house. Fresh air and lovely people. The food was fabulous and prepared with great care. Fantastic place to be. Esp a few days before you leave and want to escape from Katmandu.

This German-run eco-resort sits on a hilltop near Namobuddha, east of Kathmandu. It consists of immaculate individual stone cottages set in lovely gardens. The staff is so welcoming from offering tea on your arrival to serving gourmet meals of home-grown organic food. Crisp, clean mountain air, a quiet setting, delightful accommodations and food - what more could you ask for?...
