The hotel has a beautiful central courtyard with a tropical garden, a pond, a bridge, and an outdoor eating and gathering area. The room rates were reasonable, and the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The rooms are attractively furnished and clean, but they lack adequate lighting and are dark. There is a fridge but no safe in the rooms. The central location is perfect for accessing just about any place in New Bagan.

Room Tip: There are 2-3 rooms per bungalow around the courtyard. Choose a room farther from the breakfast...

This hotel is located right in New Bagan and easy for you to find a good restaurant nearly. From here you also can rent a e-bike for your visit in case you own manage your trip. The hotel looks fine at outside with a yard where breakfast is served. But in rooms, it needs a renovation especially the bathroom. Also, the staff and the manager of the hotel (that I think he is also the owner) are not very friendly at own. They are totally different from the rest of Myanmar people that we meet during our trip here. Breakfast is very poor too. You dont have much choice then. It is not able to ask a late check out till 2 or 3pm if you dont pay though they have many rooms available whereas we were easy to be offered from other hotels we stayed at other cities. In general it is fine but you absolutely can have better and more pleasant choice with the same cost at other hotel nearby.

This hotel has small separate bungalows situated around a tropical garden. Each room is spacious, has its own bathroom and airco. I had a room at the end of the garden, so no noise from the road. There is is a fridge and tv in the room. I had no hot water, but it’s warm enough even in the rainy season.

Every morning breakfast is served in the garden. Myanmar and European food served at the table. Large portions.

The staff is very friendly. Their English not too well, but we managed to understand each other, that’s what matters.

There are plenty of restaurants and shops around the hotel. And the can make travel arrangements.

In the room and garden is WiFi of good quality. I had to work during my stay and had great connection with the internet.

Would come here again next time.

Worse hotel so far. Stayed in dorm, basically a mattress on the floor. Big big room but nothing in it except two mattresses. Old rugs and suitcases thrown and stored in corner.

No key/ lock on door for when you go out. Window didn't shut properly because wires went through from inside to outside meant it was very noisy, traffic, dogs, crickets. Cold at night with inadequate blankets.

Staff had loud TV blasting late at night, loud conversations early as 6am in morning and someone was playing Celine Dion all day.

Queues for bathroom as only 1 toilet. Cold water, dirty bathroom, dirty bedroom floor. Dark. 1 pair of slippers for everyone to share to use in bathroom.

Location good for New Bagan. Front of hotel looked good with lights and it was a big beautiful building. 'Lobby' was another big empty room with random junk dumped in it.

Very very weird place.

Stayed here with my wife, daughter and son-in-law. First impressions were very good with the hotel having very pleasant grounds and nicely located for restaurants and sight seeing. Our room was basic but clean but my daughter's room suffered from a terrible odour from the bathroom. Despite bringing this to the attention of the Manager the odour remained through-out our 4 night stay. The only way to reduce the smell was to place shoes over the drain holes but their room remained pretty unpleasant to stay in. There were no suitable alternative rooms offered.

Breakfast was good and eaten in the gardens which were very pleasant.

On our last morning we had the worst experience of our 5 week stay in SE Asia. The night before as we were leaving the hotel in torrential rain, the the Manager had kindly provided us with 2 of the hotel's umbrellas to go to a local restaurant. During the meal my daughter had to return to the hotel with her husband due to illness and retained one of the umbrellas in her room. When my wife and I returned to the hotel after our meal, the Reception was empty but I left the umbrella behind the unmanned reception desk from where the manager had originally obtained it. The following morning my daughter brought her umbrella back to reception and placed it behind the reception desk where the manager was now situated. He immediately demanded the 2nd umbrella accusing us of stealing/losing it and stating that we would have to pay for it. Even after explaining to him that we had returned both umbrellas albeit at different times he would not believe us and was extremely aggressive and unpleasant in front of other customers and staff. This was made worse by the fact that it was still raining and breakfast was being served in the reception lobby which was very busy indeed. Luckily for us a fellow guest returned to the hotel whilst the Manager was shouting at us and had the missing umbrella. They had borrowed it earlier in the morning when no staff were around as it was still raining heavily. The Manager simply took the umbrella and continued with his work offering no apology at all or even acknowledging his mistake. The 4 of us were left feeling utterly abused, extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed by the Manager's very unpleasant behaviour. We had never ever witnessed never mind been subjected to such outrageous accusations on all our travels. We were very pleased when our transfer arrived shortly afterwards and extremely relieved to be leaving. A most unpleasant and unnerving experience all because of the disgraceful behaviour of the hotel manager.

I and my boyfriend enjoyed 09 nights in Bagan and stayed at only Bagan Central Hotel. We were very happy with the elegant green hotel, nice breakfast, nice staff, good location. We even thought of coming back in the future in our 10 years anniversary.

Bagan Central Hotel was a nice place place to stay for 3 nights in a good location for E-bike exploring and eating. We stayed in a twin bed room with air-con, beds where basic and a little big hard with a blanket wrapped in a sheet for a duvet. Owner was nice but he charged a fair bit more for things like taxis and boat trips, i would advise going 100 meters down the road to one of the several travel agent places to book anything you need.

After arriving to Bagan on 4 a.m. (i.e. 3 hours before schedule) we were taken by jeep to the New Bagan, where we wanted to find some B+B. After very early breakfast in incredibly cheap local pub nearby we knocked to Bagan Central Hotel doors, and it appeared to our suprise, such early check-in was no problem at all, and even no charges were applied. Although the room was more expensive than we expected, we were very glad to rest a little bit after a long way from Yangon. Shower was more cold than hot, but it did not matter in +40°C. Breakfast was basic, but tasty, staff helpful and always smiling; good location, environment of the hotel itself was more than pleasant. There are several street restaurants nearby, small shop on the other side of the road and bike/e-bike rental shops directly at the place. Wi-fi was moderate.

We arrived at Bagan from Mandalay on the night bus at 11pm, so all hotels and guesthouses were closed. We had a reservation at Ruby True hotel, but the bus driver dropped us at a guesthouse called Ruby which was closed, but luckily was on the main street full of hotels. We found a small very basic guesthouse whose owners were awake and we spend that night there. The next morning we moved to Bagan Central which happened to be cheaper than the original reservation we had at Ruby True and very very nice. The rooms sit around a nice garden and are clean. We checked in early in the morning and had breakfast (cold and not so good, but all included/complimentary) and were allowed to have a late check out the next day as we were taking the night bus back to Mandalay (which we booked through the hotel as well), so we left our room untill 8:00 pm and payed just a little extra. Overall the place has a perfect location, the rooms are clean, good price and nice staff.

This is a really nice, quiet setting - rocks, ponds, garden bridges and outdoor areas to sit. Breakfast is quite small but quite nice out in the nice garden setting. Staff were friendly. Close to places to hire bikes and horse/carts to temples.
