I agree with the other reviews on this hotel - it is a pleasure to arrive here and be shown your simple but very clean room. The a/c is modern, the bed comfortable, the windows have no gaps to let the mozzies in and the shower is hot.

It really doesn’t matter being located in New Bagan. A scooter is $4 a or a tuk tuk with driver for 10 hours is $15 with tip. There are monuments all over the area and the ones nearer New Bagan are less crowded

Unless you insist on a swimming pool or evening dining in the hotel there is little point paying out more money than this hotel

We stayed in this hotel for two nights last December/ January (89€ for two nights) and we can really suggest it for every kind of travelers (from backpackers to family and groups).
The quality/price correlation is good if you think that Bagan is a touristic place and we were there between the end of the year and the first day of the new year.
The room was big, beautiful and very clean.
The staff is really nice and always ready to help you.
You can rent an electrical motorbike directly in the hotel (10000 MMK for one day).
Breakfast is served on the rooftop (beautiful view).
In overall we can suggest this place!

A very nice hotel with modern, clean rooms. The bathroom has a separate shower rather then the "wet" bathroom I've become accustomed to in SE Asia which was a nice change. Good breakfast in the lovely rooftop restaurant. My only complaint is that because of the hotel layout it was quite noisy. There were also communal tables and chairs right outside my room and other guests sat there talking and laughing which made it difficult for me to sleep.

I read lots of positive reviews about this hotel before I booked it.
Well, it’s just OK but I didn’t like the service. In many ways the staff aren’t very welcoming. I suppose they aren’t trained enough to deal with foreigners even though the hotel sets room prices in dollars for foreigners which makes it much more expensive than what locals pay. Sadly, you can’t expect the reception to deal with you and honestly, they aren’t trying enough to make you feel welcomed. Not to mention the owner who was constantly there with a face that doesn’t make you want to stay.
The cleaning needs to be seriously improved. Our first room was worse than the second one and the smell in it made me feel sick the whole night. They painted the wood or something and they couldn’t get rid of the smell. The room shouldn’t have been opened for guests. The next day we got another room that was better but both had dirty taps and sinks in the bathroom. The towels weren’t very fresh either.
And the worst was the breakfast! There was nothing for foreigners. It was a 100% local breakfast but one of the worst that I have seen for this price. On top of the unwelcoming and grumpy faces that you see there in the morning, they have very few things and if you come around 7:30 and they have some customers, it’s a total mess and nothing is available. You can’t even find fried noodles. You need to go and ask for food and only after that, they will send some more. It was pitiful and made us want to look for another place to have our breakfast. I never take pictures of breakfast buffets but this time, I decided that it was the right thing to do.
The only thing that we liked about it was the swimming pool.

We stayed for two nights with my girlfriend at Bagan View Hotel (January 8th & 9th 2020) and we loved the place!

The hotel is perfectly located and has this beautiful colonial style that at night, the whole facade and interior light up.

It has a beautiful terrace with a 360° view from Bagan. There, they serve a yummy breakfast with lots of variety (pancakes, sausages, fruit, toasts, croissants, omelette, etc). Also, in the evening they have a bar where you can buy delicious drinks and have dinner at very reasonable prices while enjoying the splendid view. We saw a crazy sunrise and sunset there! You can see the famous Bagan hot air balloons passing by.

The staff was extremely friendly, the girls at the reception are fluent in English and they have recommended places to visit during our stay in Bagan. We were given free bikes from the hotel to ride around for the whole day!

100% we recommend this place! Definetely our best hotel experience in Myanmar.

It was just an amazing stay! The stuff is very kind and helpful. The hotel has a perfect destination, you can rent an E-Scooter and in a few minutes you will reach several Pagodas. Breakfast is delicious - a lot of choices. Room’s are very big an very clean. All day long you can fill up the bottle (which the Hotel offers during your stay for every guest) with drinking water. Tea, Coffee and Cookies are for free as well. We stayed 7 days and it was just amazing. Quick and comfortable check in -check out.

I've stayed in Bagan View Hotel for a few days and everything was spectacular. From the moment we've enter the front door there was a lovely staff welcoming us, grabbing our bags, giving us welcome drinks and also letting us know everything about the hotel itself.
You have 24hours free coffee, tea and biscuits. They also provide you with a reusable water bottle and you can refill it anytime near reception. Big winner there!
There's a beautiful terrace from where you can watch the sunrise and sunset, and of course you can see the hot air balloons from there as well. They have happy hours and food is really good and tasty.
Breakfast is everything you wished for. From fruits to cereal, different type of bread, pancakes, soup, etc and you also have someone cooking eggs your way for you :)
You can rent e-bikes from there, pretty much same price as everywhere else. Same for buses and tours. They speak very good English so communication is not an issue with them.
Rooms are spacious and sparkling clean, beds are comfortable and wifi works perfectly fine everywhere around the property.
I would definitely recommend this place to other travellers. Location and the area itself is pretty convenient.

This was a lovely place to stay, in a very quiet location. We had our own personal little collection of old stupa's at the corner of our street. SO cute!
The hotel is modern and spacious and all the rooms are set around an open air internal courtyard. The restaurant and bar is open air on the roof and is a busy spot in the mornings as everyone lines up to watch to balloons taking off and peacefully floating across the sky to the temples, some of which you can also see from the bar.
The breakfast selection was very good and my room was gracious, spacious and comfortable. There is a small lending/swapping library on one floor and a pretty shrine on another landing.

Good hotel and very good breakfast. You see some increase in hot air balloons. Nice terrace where you can eat breakfast.
The price is good,
Good service. They brought me a pack of products, east of them their sword was not in the nearest store (at the same price as it was in the store). Since I was a little sick, I was sniffing myself in the shop for the mknu.

We stayed at the Bagan View Hotel for two nights and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean. There is a great view out over Bagan to watch the sunset with a beer or cocktail.

It’s centrally located in New Bagan with many delicious restaurants in walking distance nearby.
