The hotel has a good location and the nearby Nanhu Lake is a nice place to have a good two hour walk. The hotel itself however is dated and rooms are generally small and old. There is not much "international" flavor in the hotel, except for the extreme softness of the bed, which is quite the opposite to the usual... More

Hotel room is ok, but a bit too dimly lit, not easy to work in the environment. Furnishing and colour design of the room are also a bit dated. Bed is comfortable though. Convention room is well equipped with microphones and U-shaped tables, suitable for meetings. Breakfast offers a variety of selection, quality is not outstanding (a bit too salty... More

This is a highly recommend hotel with free wifi and good restaurants. Reception is large amd hotel is well located. One can get a taxi as low as 15RMB to the shopping area and hotel staff is very nice to get you a cab. Health club is good, banquets are large and very good. One has to be mindful that... More

I stayed here for 2 nights. The staff is extremely helpful and also speak English or try to respond and understand with eagerness. The food served To us in banquet was not all that great. Gym is nice and and so is the tennis facility. There charge exorbitantly if you want to pay lawn tennis. The elevators are functional and... More

This is my second time stay in this hotel arranged by client. Overall is still good, but I noticed there are things required attentions. 1. I stayed at the 5th floor, bathroom entrance door frame is detached from the wall drop, leaving a uncovered gap in between which needs to repair. 2. I spotted unknown tiny red bugs crawling in... Room is fantastic , deluxe type and quit nice, pillows are very soft and bed sheet makes you feel like sleep on cloud. Actually there is nothing unexpected to say on five star room's hotel. Basically, I would comment on TV & breakfast, a most common disappointed things all around China Unless you are big fan of Chinese food; only... More

While we didn't hate this hotel. the airconditioning is controlled. And it's about 100 degrees in China and we could never truly cool down. It stays at 25 degrees Celcius. When it is that hot out, you need cooler temps in your room. The food was ok. We would probably stay here again, just not in June!!!

This place seems like it was an old Communist Party hotel back in the time when that's all there was. Things like the fitness centre and swimming pool (closed for cleaning while we were there) were real throwbacks, as was the outdoor barber operating underneath a tree not 100 metres from the hotel down by the lake (wonderful and he... The lobby and room itself look fine, a bit dated but can still fit the bottom-end of a 5-star, but the bathroom really needs a complete overhaul and barely deserves even a 3-star. I've stayed in budget hotel chains that charge RMB 200 or less a night that had better bathrooms than this.

All in all we had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were generally very helpful. The rooms were a little dirty, but nothing that a new carpet couldn't sort out. This hotel was advertised as a five star, but should really be compared to a four or three star in North America. They were trying very hard to... More
