The crater lodge is brilliant. The rooms and the main restaurant/sitting area are all incredibly luxurious. The staff are lovely and the view is stunning. But... It didn't feel like a safari lodge. It felt like staying in a hotel and quite disconnected from the wildlife, despite it being right outside the window on occasion. The friendliness of the staff...

From the moment we pulled up we were impressed with the property and the staff. The accommodations were incredible. Our room had the fire lit and the music playing for us each night when we returned along with our favorite drink on ice waiting for us next to the bubble filled bath tub with roses all around it. Every morning...

I didn't expect much, and was astounded by the beauty, elegance and superb service this lodge offered. Beautiful fabrics in the huts, gorgeous furnishings, spectacular views| The game drives were outstanding, and our bath was already drawn fro us when we arrived back from a drive..... complete with rose petals surrounding the two-person tub. The food in the dining room...

We spent 3 wonderful days here in August enjoying the great animal sightings and beauty of the area. The lodge is a very comfortable and inviting place from which to set out and explore the crater. The rooms were very comfortable and warmed by the fireplace on the chilly nights. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and was even able...

This lodge is a unique experience and is very nice but not for people with mobility issues because there is too many stairs. You will also need to bring some warm clothing as it is very cold because of the location.

On our 25 day trip to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zanzibar we had the joy of visiting the Ngorongoro Crater and staying 2 nights at the lodge. The lodge, decor wise, is a little over the top. Call it exotic African. The rooms are spacious and if you request one with views looking down into the crater you will not...

We stayed for 3 nights with my then-GF in February. I had planned to propose while at NCL and everyone helped, I had packed a "black box" that she wasn`t allowed to see (a bottle of Champagne). Our butler (Msisi) took it out of my bag while we were out. Everything at the lodge is perfect, they even arrenged for...

1. Great as always (3rd visit) 2. Very appreciative of Having Erick as our guide (also for 3rd time) 3. Room for improvement in Breakfast in the crater 4. Wish there weren't so many vehicles on the crater floor - understand why this is so but does adversely impact the experience 5. Especially appreciated the special dinner in the new...

What an unusual and special place. It's like staying in a film set. Hobbit land immediately comes to mind. It's a fantastic venue, and the ideal spot to explore the wonderful Crater which is full of Lions, Hyenas and a wild array of animals and birds. The And Beyond go that extra mile to make it special. Food was good....
