Where to even begin. I loved this lodge and all of the &beyond properties we visited. From the coffee and cookies at the airport to the beautiful fire and warm sheets at bedtime this place is fabulous around the clock. The view and location are phenomenal. The accommodations were magnificent. I loved the over the top opulence yet down to... More

We spent two nights in the lodge on our 8 day trip starting in the northern serengeti up to arusha. We felt like being in a dream a bit out of reality but being wonderfully looked after by a great crew. The bath waiting for us after the visit of the crater was high class and the overall hospitality left... More

When we arrived our butler George was already awaiting us with a cold wet towel and a rose. The bare fact that we had a butler felt a bit strange at the beginning but at the same time we were very happy with the way we were welcomed by the whole staff. When we were showed to our room we... More

To be honest we had a bit of a problem with this place. It is billed as being opulent but we had not expected a hotel in Tanzania to be quite so OTT. Quirky for sure, a bit like the Hobbit meets Louis 14th and definitely not an African experience. Somewhat unusual rooms from the outside, with completely OTT heavy... More

Wow! The Tree Camp at Crater Lodge is an intimate camp with very comfortable accommodations. It has a central meeting/eating building that is beautifully appointed with great food and exceptional service. Great Staff! An experience of a lifetime!

This Lodge is breathtaking--and not just because of the altitude. I would say it is the most luxurious place we have ever stayed. If you are going to Tanzania, you MUST stay here. We felt pampered beyond belief. My husband is still telling people about the bath!! We will never know how Irene did it . . . she just... More

This is such a special place! We stayed in Tree Camp and felt truly spoiled. Our room was special and full of fresh roses when we arrived as well as a tray with chocolates and sweet treats. Each evening a fire was lit in our room and electric blankets turned on to warm the bed. The food was delicious and... More

As a family of five we stayed here for a night of luxury on our safari, we were not disappointed. Quite an amazing place, we did see zebra outside our two rooms and we did have a bath drawn by our butler ahead of our arrival at the end of the days safari, complete with rose petals. If you can,... We spent 2 nights at the hotel. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen. Everything is perfect, service excellent, nice food. The room is perfect, huge bathroom with all the amenities. They even fill the bath with hot water when you come back from the drive in the crater. Super recommended. All rooms are perfect, we...
