The opulence of the suites, the layout of the grounds, including the wildlife, and the breathtaking views of the crater make this property one of our favorites. One cannot forget the people. We stayed in the smaller of the three camps - highly recommend you do this. The manage

Serengeti meets Versailles architecturally designed and artistically fitted lodge overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater.
Couldn’t fault anything. Stunning service and food. Housekeeper even did a final load of laundry for us on our last night which was so helpful. A beautiful bath de

I call it sanctuary coz no animal can escape their nights in the crater and the lodge is just few step over these beautiful animals. The lodge is just tantalizing, service is very good and accommodation is suparb. Give them a try!

Very spacious villa like huts offering every possible amenity and excellent all includive food and drink service presented by an almost too attentive very professional and hospitable stuff. Very nice views on animals and nature allowing a perfect stay at Ngorongoro conservatory.

This hotel is one of a kind. Our cottage with magnificent views of the Ngorongoro Crater is an eclectic blend of decorating styles but masterfully done. We returned to our " home' each night with a fire place for the cool September temperatures and rose petals leading to a wonder

What’s the schedule for game drive(s)? Hi, I’m a little confused reading the website and reviews. Are game drives only in the morning or morning into afternoon? Do people go on more than one a day? Do we need to make preference clear in advance? We’re arriving around 1-1:30 pm and have been told we can’t be guaranteed the ability to do the crater rim walk so I’d like to know if we can do a short game drive or that’s not possible. Thank you!
Hello, the schedule for game drives are generally customized to you. At the crater, we only did one in the morning. It was toward the end of a 12 day safari, so we decided to take advantage of the relaxing aspect of Crater Lodge in the afternoons rather than drive 2 x per day. The trip down to the crater is a bit long, so making 2 trips down is a lot. I would make your preference clear in advance. Can't hurt. Please know that the staff will be falling down to serve you here. Your wish is literally their command.

I will be staying at andbeyond ngorongoro crater lodge and bateleur camp. Maasai dance is offered at extra cost at both camps. Is there any difference in the dance or experience at different camps? Would you advice in booking such function? If so, at which camp?
Hello ! Can you please tell me what kind of animals can bee seen? Is is possible to see Rhinos? What is the difference of animals can be seen here and in Seregenti? Thanks

Rhinos are probably the rarest of the big5 to see, and I don't think you will see them at the property. I was only here one night and only saw buffalo that had come close up.

Would anyone recommend doing the Lake Eyasi walk?
I can't help you with this question because I didn't take the walk. Sorry.
