This was our last night in Tanzania while driving for the last 8 days in the Serengeti. The Manor is located close enough to the Ngorongoro crater that you can stay there with only a short drive away. It is located on a very large coffee planation and the rooms are all little duplex cottages that make up the property...

This hotel is close to perfect. The attention to detail is impeccable. Peter, our 'butler' did not just do everything to make our stay wonderful, he continuously exceeded our expectations with special surprises and gestures of kindness. The food was very delicious and the breakfast/ dinner atmosphere wonderful. The property and the spacious rooms are just gorgeous and have more...

A Tudor Lodge in the middle of this conservation area? You bet. We had Cottage number 1. It was the furthest out, but right next to the herb garden that the chef uses everyday. Fireplace in the room, hot water bottles in the bed. Excellent lounge and dining room. Nice Wine menu . Beautiful

We arrived at The Manor to a warm greeting and taken to our rooms which were as good as you could expect. Our personal host was Innocent. He was fabulous and we felt very fortunate to have him take care of us. No detail was left out. The grounds and rooms are simply divine nestled in the middle of a...

The Manor is really very beautiful - the grounds and buildings are delightful but I feel the service wasn't great and certainly not 5 star. Our meal was also not good - the risotto wasn't cooked and practically inedible. We only stayed one night so this may have been a blip. All in all a good hotel buy not outstanding.

Dear Val, Thank you for your imperative feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the property and grounds, but it is indeed a shame that you had a problem with your meal. Centered in the Shangri-La Estate coffee plantation, this Dutch architecturally styled resort was unexpected delight. Strolling the formal gardens with its whimseys and mix of indigenous and Europeans plantings was the perfect way to relax after a trip to Ngorongoro Crater. Truly one of the stars of the Elewana Properties.
