You are treated like family instantly. Great hotel with all amenities, view of Kilimanjaro peak, and it is a non profit that benefits the school next door that you can ask to visit. Would recommend to anyone. It's about 20 to downtown Moshi.

The staff were really nice and accomodating, the rooms, lobby and dining area were very comfortable, it was a nice atmosphere. We were greeted with passionfruit juice when were arrived, they provided a last minute very quick laundry service. Some rooms had an amazing view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Its decorated with art projects done by the children in the local...

I was fortunate to be placed here by Ultimate Kilimanjaro, the company I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro with. The warm, welcoming staff treat you like family and they excel at making your stay as comfortable as possible. They send you off on your adventures with positive thoughts and wishes and are there to share your excitement on your return. Teddy (the...

**Your time is valuable so I will skip the creative writing and get right to the details. As always, your vote is greatly appreciated if you find my review helpful** 1) Good or bad, you deserve to hear it as it is. The hotel is rated as fair because you have to stand on a wooden platform in the shower...

What a delightful place. We all got hugs when we arrived. After we returned from Kilimanjaro, smelling much the worse for wear, we were welcomed back with the same hugs. The shower was effective and the wi-fi helped connect back with the world. The laundry service was effective and reasonably priced.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Stella Maris Lodge! We stayed here 3 nights--before and after Kili. The rooms were very comfortable--luxurious for this part of the world. The food was great, the common areas comfy and inviting. Beer and wine a plus too! But the best part was the staff. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively and I have...

Stayed at the Stella Maris Lodge for 2 nights before and one night after our Kilimanjaro climb. All of the staff were lovely and very welcoming right from the start - the ladies on reception even gave us a hug when we got off the bus (like old friends revisiting, even though we had never been there before). High fives...

I went to Tanzania for a school trip to help at a primary school near by. Not only was food, views, and accommodations amazing but the staff was phenomenal. By far the most friendly people I have ever met. I will definitely go back to climb the mountain in a few years and 100% will stay at the stella maris!!

The hotel was a little outside Moshi and the grounds were somewhat basic but as we were using it as a base for Trekking Kilimanjaro that didn't really matter. It was clean and very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make the stay more enjoyable. The food was good, freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Just...
